Here are this weeks chart updates for the UK and US. There are no new certifications this week.

In the UK, The Very best of moves up 9 places to #67 on the main top 100 albums chart with sales of approximately 1,900 copies.

Rumours moves down 14 places to #82 with sales of approximately 1,700 copies. It does however move up a place on the catalogue chart to #7.

Over in the US, Greatest Hits seems to have received a massive sales boost from somewhere, rocketing up 50 places on the Billboard 200 into the top 100, landing at #92 this week. Unfortunately, I have no sales information. The album also moves up on the catalogue chart to #17 from #35 last week.

Unfortunately, Greatest Hits is the only album making an appearance on any Billboard chart as Rumours has disappeared altogether.

Still nice to see a couple of titles fairly high up on the charts. Hopefully they will gain even more sales over the Christmas period. I'll post again next week.

Maroon 5 are up four places to No.21 with “V”, Chet Faker is back up to No.27 with “Built on Glass”, and as their tour for later in the year was announced in the past week, Fleetwood Mac blast back up fifty-four places to land at No.40 with their “Greatest Hits” set, after which we see a Top 100 return at No.41 with the Melinda Schneider and Beccy Cole album “Great Women of Country”.

The band's second hits collection, Greatest Hits II made it into the top 10 as well at No. 10 with nearly four million sold.

Rumours moved up to #40 on the UK charts this week- it's 128th week in the top 40.
Very Best of Fleetwood Mac is at 54.
Pretty good going having two albums in the top 60 for no particular reason.

2 possible reasons:

1) The Chain has been featured in ads for Guardians of the Galaxy 2.

2) Word of the new Buckingham McVie album being released.

It's because of the 40th anniversary. A lot of radio production. Pretty obvious I thought.
