It's not just a miniature McVie but someone else in there as well. I always thought it was supposed to be a reflection of John and Mick.

If you look at the Rumours cover glass ball, it's the same image in there as well. I wonder why they did that and not put a small Stevie in there lol.

I thought it was John and Mick as well. It's definitely John, the picture of Mick seems to have the face in a shadow, so I can't see his features well enough. The same is on Rumours except they are in different positions within the crystal.

Pretty odd. They're almost identical, except the background arch is missing from the one on the Rumours cover, it's just the top of John's head and the figure that looks like Mick floatin' all alone.

I think it's an outtake from the white album cover.

The story as I recall it is that on the "Fleetwood Mac" album it's Mick and John's reflection. Because the album hit #1 they figured it was a good luck charm, so they used the crystal ball again for "Rumours" for luck and altered the photo to use the same reflection (not an easy task back then). Stevie also used the crystal ball for "Bella Donna".
What's interesting to note is that all of the Mac albums that feature a crystal ball on the cover hit #1, "Fleetwood Mac", "Rumours" and "The Dance". As well as "Bella Donna". "Mirage" also hit #1 without the help of the crystal ball. The luck ran out though for "Rock A Little".

I believe it was literally "cut" with scissors and "pasted" with glue from the White to the Rumours album. To think we used to do things like that lol.

I still do. I make homemade gift cards for my friends and family all the time. I have made so many people so happy with what they've received in the mail from me.
