Vintage V100 ICON Series - Lemon Drop (Peter Green inspired)
Hi,
is there anybody who played the "Vintage V100 ICON Series - Lemon Drop (Peter Green inspired)" (http://www.dolphinmusic.co.uk/shop/f...oduct_id/20028) and can tell something about this guitar? Is it worth buying? ... The reverse-fitted neck humbucker and out of phase centre position wiring created one of the most recognisable guitar sounds of the genre – real “Black Magic”. ... "When I was young and in a band, we supported the original Fleetwood Mac to play at a gig we'd organised. Fleetwood Mac let us use their PA, and Peter Green even let me use his amp! He wouldn’t let me use his guitar but he was always my favourite guitarist....” (Read more: http://www.jhs.co.uk/vintageelectric.html) A review mentioning Grennie: http://www.jhs.co.uk/reviews/G&B%20D...V100MRPGM).pdf See you, Popmuseum Last edited by Popmuseum; 09-11-2008 at 03:55 AM.. It's my favorite guitar among the others: Fender Strat-plus, Ibanez AM73T hollow body, Epihone Black Beauty with three pickups and Bigsby tremolo. I love the Lemon drop, it surely is worth the price. See and hear me play the instrument at you tube: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wlGjv...eature=related http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vkYVebfODoo&feature=user We also did Need Your Love So Bad, but sadly not (yet) on YouTube. Anyway, judge the guitar for yourself. I am really pleased with it, especially regarding the price as compared to Gibson. |

Just forgot to mention:
The only thing lacking is my ability to play as subtle as Peter Green did/does |

You could test the guitar you bought, we've got to buy a pig in a poke (I've been told every guitar is different so you've got to test them first. I hope mine is a good one).
Thank you. It will be delivered on Friday Last edited by Popmuseum; 09-16-2008 at 02:55 PM.. |
