Default "Without You" Will be a New FM Song

According to an interview on Access Hollywood via http://www.nickslive.blogspot.com/, Stevie says "Without You" will be released as an FM song. She sings I think part of the second verse! Stevie also goes on to say she wrote it about Lindsey. I didn't know which one wrote it until now. Also, Mick says this is the fastest selling FM tour in 24 years (since Tango in the Night?). Stevie says she knew when they were recording the new songs.... the tour was going to be huge, and says it was like "witchery" that she knew. You can hear the interviewer chuckling, but whatever....that's our Stevie.

Faster than the Reunion tour (The Dance)? Hard to believe, isn't it?

Those are not the words to Without You, Stevie Close, though.

Lol @ Mick thanking Stevie for the premonition of the tour being big.

Yeah, the word "symphony" is "melody" in the demo. The rest of the verse appears to be the same. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Fc3VbDk3Fv4

Demo:
"Come to me now, and I'll never know another
You are a song for me, a melody
Ingrained in my soul
Sing, sing your song
For my ears they only hear you"

Stevie:
"Come to me now, for my eyes they only see you
You are a song for me, a symphony
Ingrained in my heart"

But yeah, close enough. Clearly I've been listening to it rather obsessively lately haha.

Yeah, that's it. Either she has changed the words or couldn't remember them since it's from so long ago. The demo sounds like Lindsey is lead vocal..that's why I didn't know which one wrote it. It will be interesting to learn who is lead in the new version.

I have this on a boot cd, but was it actually part of the original Polydor BN release or was it a demo that never made it onto the record? I can't remember..

They sing that part twice in the original demo -- I wonder if maybe, for the recording, they'll sing it the way we know it the first time, and then switch it up with "my eyes they only see you" and "a song for me, a symphony" for the second.

Either way, I cannot wait to hear it!

It wasn't a part of the original album, but it's often tacked onto bootleg copies.

Even though Stevie keeps questioning why it didn't make it onto 'Buckingham Nicks,' I think it was actually demoed for the second album they were working on when Fleetwood Mac came calling.

Lindsey thinks so too.

I've seen online that it was supposedly written by both of them?

According to a recent interview, Stevie said "Without You" could have gone on the BN LP, but had no idea why it didn't make it (She said the same thing about "Secret Love" and "Planets of the Universe" not making it onto Rumours.) Lindsey explained "Without You" was written after BN was recorded, and Stevie said something like, "Oh."

yup, Lindsey keeps saying in the interviews every time when Stevie brings up that she doesn't know why it was not on the original BN "cause it wasn't recorded yet". you can see him saying that in one of those videos from the series they couple of weeks ago, and she replies "you know, i think you are right!"
