Default Article in ICE Magazine about the reissues

I was hoping it would be a review, but hey, this is cool too!

Thanks for posting!!

Isn't this an odd quote:

"While the bonus tracks have been squared away for years, Sr. VP of A&R David McLees tells ICE that, "Everybody is proud of these now, and they’re ready to come out at a time when the band isn’t overtaxed with promotional opportunities for their last Warner Bros. record [Say You Will].""

I cant tell if he meant LAST Warner Bros. record ...like "most recent" or "the last one"....hopefully he meant it in the way of "most recent"

Well, their contract was up BEFORE Say You Will, I seem to recall reading that they only signed a one album deal to release SYW. Could be the reason that WB is releasing the back catalogue under the WB Special Products label and dissolving the "Rhino" label.

Seems weird for them to online sign a 1 album contract, with all the talking theyve been doing about making another album..unless of course they plan to switch labels soon

Which is probably why they haven't COMMITTED to another album, yet.

The contract term may be until Dec 2004, which is why Mick has been saying that they'll probably tour until then. If they end the tour sooner, WB may invoke some sort of "second album clause" in the contract.

I seem to remember Stevie has a multiple record deal with WB that she got for The Dance and since Atlantic dropped her, etc.

I believe McLees meant "last" as in the most recent release, not in regards to finality.

I am unsure if La Nicks actually bought her way out of the Atlantic contract. I am pretty sure the Enchanted Boxed Set was part of the deal. Moreover, I think Warner Reprise would have done anything, including giving La Nicks a contract and, perhaps buying her out of Atlantic, to get her for The Dance once they saw "the magic" which meant lots of dollar signs Does anyone know what really went down?

To my understanding FLEETWOOD MAC is signed to WB/Reprise as is STEVIE NICKS..two seperate deals and contracts

Who knows the logistics of it all...but I heard Stevie was asked to the Box Set by Atlantic, to finalize her contract...because they needed one more work from her...and she desired to be on the same label as Fleetwood Mac--to avoid label conflicts

WB owns Atlantic. As I recall, WB disolved Atlantic, signing many artists on Atlantic to WB.

Actually Atlantic is still around, it's just no longer owned by WB...so now that you mention it..that does make sense..When Atlantic changed over, Stevie went to Reprise to stay with Warners...

Audioslave, Bush, Tori Amos, Kid Rock, Matchbox 20, The Donnas are all on Atlantic....so I'm assuming Atlantic is no longer owned by WBR.....Atlantic is no longer a link on the wbr.com website like reprise, and maverick are

I remember in interviews perhaps for TISL, Stevie was like for the first time I had no record deal and that was horrible.
