I don't mean to be negative.... but I don't like it...
just like I hated David Cook's cover of Little Lies... and Lindsay Lohan's Edge of Seventeen... and The Coors' Dreams... and every other FM cover.. Sorry, but some songs are untouchable (at least, to me) and shouldn't be messed with... Dreams being one of them.

Have you ever heard the cover of Songbird? I'm not sure but I think it was by Johanna Cassidy? I think it was on that FM album that Mick produced that had a bunch of artists covering FM songs? Anyway when I heard it I thought it was better than Christine's version. However I'm one of the few people in this world that never really liked that song to begin with.

Eva Cassidy. Mick has said he regrets not putting it on The Legacy tribute.

This is the second time I've heard Fleet Foxes covering Dreams. I think they do a good job of it.

Default Jill Andrews-Dreams Cover

Ok I know Fleetwood Mac covers are usually average or just plain rubbish. But this is amazing! I don't know who this woman is, but she did the song more than enough justice!

Enjoy!

I like it... the folksy rendition is a fresh take... yet they're spot on with the harmonies and backing vocals. Thanks for sharing!

Yeah, thanks for this! Thought it was great, that lady has a nice voice, reminded me of Natalie Merchant's a tiny bit.

Default John Mayer covers Dreams

About 5:45.

He's no Stevie, but I think he does well.

I love the way he & his band rewrite the song. Instead of F to G to F to G & so on, they carry through the previous song's chord progression & do DREAMS F to C to G to F to C to G & so on. The extra chord has rejuvenated the song in my brain! Mac ought to start doing it this way.

DREAMS before: F | G | F | G
DREAMS after: F | C | G | F | C | G

A brilliant stroke.

This is the first time I've ever heard JM sing. His song was good but I don't care for his singing on Dreams.

On another note, earlier tonight I tossed out several magazine pictures of John Mayer realizing that I am no longer sexually attracted to him anymore.

Did y'all read the Rolling Stone from a couple of weeks ago? He's kinda nuts!

And a friend was pointing this out to me, about a week ago.....his songs aren't that great! Yeah, he's a media darling, but that's about it! RS feels the need, to put him in every issue, but it's not really for his body of work, but his.....status.

I did have the pleasure of doing monitors for him, right as his career was skyrocketing, and he was very polite and friendly, but I've not been really impressed, with his body of work.

Oh god.

An ex of mine used to think the sun shined out of this guy's butt, I'd love to see his face at him covering one of my Favourite band's songs (imo, badly)
