Yesterday was the 35th anniversary of MTV. Stop Dragging My Heart around was the 25th music video ever played and The video for Tusk was the 45th music video played on August first 1981.

Big Love while on queue at the supermarket. And it's not the first time, it happened last fall too, it's quite peculiar.

On vacation on the east coast at a restaurant for lunch, had a few drinks already and it's a crowded restaurant so the music is hard to hear. I can hear the bass and it's a bass line that strikes my interest so I try to listen more intently and drown out the background noise. I can faintly hear "hold me hold me hold me" so then I get a big smile on my face and start singing along.

Big Love started an NPR segment, this morning.

They did the intro... then went to the solo .. and kept it playing until the segment was over. No vocals..

I heard Hold Me at Walmart the other night. As I found out awhile back that Walmart employees can put requests into Walmart radio after hours.More likely after 10 pm or after midnight. If I was working there I would request Stevie/FM tunes when I be working there. It will make the day go by with happiness.

I heard "Crystal", the FM white album version, in Pet Supplies Plus yesterday. I was shocked!

They weren't playing the album; the next song was by The Police.

What a great song, and what a great "band" song that particular version is. Everyone shines and it all blends incredibly. With Lindsey singing that soft lead vocal and playing that acoustic guitar, and Stevie's beautiful sweet harmony, and that unbelievably peaceful keyboard melody by Christine, and Mick's perfect little fills, and John with that simple, repeated line that, as usual for him, is a melody all by itself.

It doesn't deserve to be as obscure as it is!

To Me: It's what happened when the The McVies hooked into the Americans and Mick and John drove the music. And Christine's contribution is wildly apparent after listening to the more generic B/N version. John has a walking bass line that's incredible. I turn up my subwoofer and it pumps.

I feel like Christine's outro feels like the sea. As she looked out of her flat in Malibu and imagined her parts. It's a Masterpiece of a song. Good job Stevie.
