Listening to it today really made the light bulb go off in my head. It totally sounds like something Lindsey would have done with the band in recent years.

Could have fitted on Tango In The Night. imo.

A commonly noted example is Quarterflash's "Harden My Heart."

Yeah except for the saxophone. A song called "Closer to Your Heart " by Clannad is pretty blatant IMO.

I always hear people say they think it's Pat Benatar.

Similar idiom as PB for sure, but the song is definitely influenced by the Mac’s early (1975) sound. Lindsey even discussed it in an interview back in 1982. Others (critics) have also noted the similarities.

this is the song that if you play it at the wrong speed it sounds just like Stevie singing it. (I forget if it's when you play the LP version at 45 rpm or when you play the 45 version at 33 1/3).

there was a bit in Rolling Stone (Maybe in Random Notes) at the time where they asked Stevie about it and she says she knew about it and had tried it and agreed it sounded like her.

They actually said on a tv interview at the time that they were big fans of FM and that their goal with their music was to "update Fleetwood Mac". It made me hate them instantly, and was happy when they never really continued having success.
