Hypodermic Sally (Sarah Paulson)
Another junkie who lives at the Cortez, Sally is one of the more tragic figures found in the halls of the hotel. “She’s selfish,” says Paulson. “She will put a stiletto in your face if it means she can get what she needs. But she’s also like a broken rag doll.

Here's How 'American Horror Story: Hotel' Is Connected To Season 1
And how Evan Peters' character is oddly connected to Leonardo DiCaprio.

Entertainment Weekly just debuted their "American Horror Story" cover featuring Lady Gaga's Countess. Along with new details about Gaga's bloodthirsty hotel owner (not exactly a vampire), the issue also features new character photos and reveals how Season 5 will connect to Season 1 of the series.

Ryan Murphy revealed last year that all the "AHS" seasons were connected, and now we know Season 5 will visit the Murder House from Season 1. "We do go to the Murder House for one episode," the co-creator told EW. Christine Estabrook, who played realtor Marcy in the first season, will also reprise her character this year. A new photo from EW reveals Marcy showing off Hotel Cortez to Cheyenne Jackson's fashion designer Will Drake and his son.

Cheyenne Jackson ✔@cheyennejackson
Guess who's back? Marcy knows what's up. @AHSFX
6:10 PM - 26 Aug 2015 · Los Angeles, CA, United States

We also know that the season will jump between the present day, during which The Countess acquires Hotel Cortez, and the 1930s, when Evan Peters' Mr. James March built it. Mr. March is a rich and charming psychopath who builds the hotel in order to hide his murderous activities within secret rooms and shafts. Hmm, that sounds familiar ...

Fans know that Murphy's "AHS" characters and storylines are somewhat based on real-life people and events. (Here's our theory on what incident could have influenced "Hotel.") But for Mr. March, we think he may be inspired by not one, but two real-life figures. First is likely Dr. Henry Howard Holmes, known infamously as H.H. Holmes, who is believed to be America's first documented serial killer. In 1893 near the Chicago World's Fair, Holmes built a three-story hotel equipped with horrific torture rooms, which then became nicknamed the "Murder Hotel" -- if that doesn't scream Murphy, nothing does. And as fans know, psychopathic murderers are a staple in the "AHS" universe. Earlier this year, we connected all of the crazy killers from the series (as well as 10 other connections between the seasons.)

But based on the 1930s period, it doesn't seem like Peters' character is just inspired by Holmes. He also has a twist of Howard Hughes. The billionaire and business tycoon also had his hand in hotel real estate in real life. Peters' interview with the Television Academy last month confirmed Mr. March's Hughes connection, and from the looks of EW's new photo of the character, Mr. March looks a bit like Hughes.

The weirdest coincidence about all of this, though? Leonardo DiCaprio played Howard Hughes for Martin Scorsese in 2004's "The Aviator" and will portray Holmes for the director in their upcoming film, "The Devil in the White City." Hey Murphy, we found your Season 6 star. (If Leo can't get an Oscar, maybe he can try for an Emmy?)

For new photos and the "AHS" cover story, head to EW.com. The issue hits newsstands on Friday.

"American Horror Story: Hotel" premieres on Oct. 7 on FX.

American Horror Story exclusive: Mare Winningham to return for Hotel

Yet another American Horror Story alum has decided to check into this season’s Hotel: EW has learned exclusively that Mare Winningham will return to the franchise this year. The St. Elmo’s Fire actress will play the titular establishment’s laundress who works closely with Evan Peters’ character, Mr. March.

Winningham previously played the sister of Pepper (Naomi Grossman) on Freak Show and Peters’ abusive mother on Coven.

She joins an incredible cast that includes Lady Gaga, Matt Bomer, Sarah Paulson, Kathy Bates, Wes Bentley, Finn Wittrock, Chloe Sevigny, Angela Bassett, Cheyenne Jackson, Denis O’Hare, Evan Peters, Max Greenfield, and Naomi Campbell.

American Horror Story: Hotel premieres Oct. 7 on FX.

Ryan Murphy on the bloodsuckers of AHS: Hotel: 'It’s not vampires. There’s no capes and fangs'

Each season of American Horror Story tackles a different horror genre and this year’s iteration, Hotel, focuses on vampirism … well, kind of. “I prefer the term ‘ancient blood virus,’” co-creator Ryan Murphy tells EW. “It’s not vampires.” He adds, “It’s really a form of hemophilia in a way. There’s no capes and fangs.”

Lady Gaga’s character, The Countess, is afflicted with this virus as are her lovers, Donovan (Matt Bomer) and Tristan (Finn Wittrock), which causes the infected to crave human blood. “Around the middle of the season, we sort of explore the origins of all that and her character and where [the virus] comes from,” teases Murphy.

Since they don’t have fangs, The Countess and Donovan kill with their chainmail gloves as seen in the above photo and on EW’s new AHS cover; the nails are razor sharp and handy when slitting throats. “Ryan wanted the glove to look like armor,” explains costume designer Lou Eyrich. “So we started there, kind of Daphne Guinness-esque. But we wanted to make it our own and again timeless – Is it an old glove? Is it a new glove? We wanted it to look both rock ‘n’ roll but old at the same time. But then the nail that pops out with diamonds on the edge to slice you.

Lady Gaga Introduces Us To Her Creepy 'American Horror Story: Hotel' Children
This season just keeps getting better.

Lady Gaga may have just introduced the creepiest "American Horror Story: Hotel" characters yet.

The singer took to Twitter Thursday afternoon to share a photo of her bloodthirsty Countess character sitting with three cherubic blond boys. Sure, they look sweet and innocent, but if we've learned anything through our years of watching horror films, it's that little kids are probably the scariest characters ever (see: "The Ring," "The Shining," "The Omen," "Children of the Corn"). Oh, and the fact that they seem to be sucking on bottles full of blood just affirms that fact. We just know they're going to end up in our nightmares.

Gaga captioned the photo, "We are family. Meet my magical children. HOTEL #AHS."

Yesterday, Entertainment Weekly released more photos from the new season, getting us even more excited. We can already tell this season's going to be good.

"American Horror Story: Hotel" premieres on Oct. 7 on FX.

There could be TWO seasons of American Horror Story in 2016

The appetite of American Horror Story has grown from year to year in terms of ratings and awareness, with last year’s Freak Show garnering the biggest audience and most Emmy noms than any iteration preceding.

So, it’s not altogether surprising that Ryan Murphy and his writing team are considering doing two iterations of the series going forward. “Next year we might do a fall American Horror Story and a spring,” says Murphy. “We have to decide.

He adds, “We’re doing something that we’ve never done before on the show where we’re doing two different groups of writers rooms. Some of our writers will be bouncing around but a whole different group coming in late August. The next thing we’re crafting up is very, very different than this. Not smaller. But just not opulent. More rogue and more dark.

Will Jessica Lange return to American Horror Story? 'She’ll be back,' says Ryan Murphy

One of the biggest changes in this year’s American Horror Story is the absence of Emmy-winning star Jessica Lange. The actress had previously appeared in all four AHS seasons but chose to bow out of Hotel to return to Broadway (Lange will star in a spring 2016 revival of Long Day’s Journey Into Night, produced by AHS co-creator Ryan Murphy). But that doesn’t necessarily means she’s gone for good.

I’ve been talking to her,” admits Murphy. “It’s always possible. I’m trying to deal with her play schedule. Jessica is always about the character. She’ll be back—she’s not gone forever. But that’s the fun and fresh thing about the show: sometimes somebody has to go away before you realize how much you miss them. She wants to come back we just have to come up with something.

Hotel is set in modern day Los Angeles about five years after the first season of AHS. So it’s safe to assume Lange could reappear as her season one character, the villainous and manipulative Constance, who ended the series by parenting one of Harmon’s murderous twins.

EW has already revealed that the series will return to the Murder House for one episode and that realtor Marcy (Christine Estabrook) from season one appears in Hotel. Perhaps the return of Constance isn’t so far-fetched?

Inside 'the most disturbing scene' in American Horror Story history

American Horror Story has given us some pretty terrifying creatures. Of course there’s anything involving Rubberman (or the Frankenstein baby nicknamed the Infantata) from season 1. The aptly named serial killer Bloodyface from Asylum. And who can forget Twisty the Clown from Freak Show?

Well … they are nothing compared to what’s in store for viewers of AHS: Hotel. Co-creator Ryan Murphy announced at TCA that this year’s installment features “the most disturbing scene we’ve ever done” and it involves AHS newbie and New Girl star Max Greenfield, Sarah Paulson’s Sally and a little fella named The Addiction Demon. Hotel’s new monster looks as if his eyes and mouth were covered in melted wax or skin (similar to the frightening figure in one of the newly released teasers) and he wears a conical metal dildo. “He is a representation of that and what people go through fighting addiction,” explains Murphy. “It’s not done lightly or blithely. I think it’s very powerful and strong.

Greenfield plays Gabriel, a platinum blonde junkie who checks into the Cortez in the premiere and has a run-in with both Sally and the demon. Let’s just say it is not a gentle love scene. Teases Greenfield, “Ryan gets real pleasure out of how far, I think, he can push it. And when we were doing that stuff, he was happy and he was scared. We all were. And it was a good vibe on set because of that. I think we were like, ‘F— yeah, man. Let’s push this and let’s see how far we can go.

For Paulson, who has been on all five seasons, it was oddly just another day at work on AHS. “None of it crazy to me,” she says. “I walk in and I’m like ‘Hello conical dildo demon person.’ I don’t even think twice. I had two heads last year — I don’t know what you want me to say. Like there’s nothing anybody can do on the show to shock me anymore.

Sleep With The Lights On -- New 'American Horror Story: Hotel' Teasers Are Here
You might want to avoid your mattress for a while.

Just in case the first two teasers for "American Horror Story: Hotel" didn't convince you to avoid checking into hotels for a while, these new ones definitely will. In three new teasers, which Ryan Murphy tweeted on Monday night, the titular Hotel Cortez gets even creepier.

In one called "Jeepers Creepers", we get a look at the hotel's room 64, which we know is the room of Evan Peters' Mr. James March, the charming murderous psychopath who built the hotel in the 1930s. But is that him snooping through the peephole? As one fan on Reddit pointed out, Peters doesn't have blue eyes, so perhaps this is the eye of a victim in his room. Either way, we're bound to see Mr. March snooping at some point this season, since Peters' character is partly influenced by Howard Hughes, who was known to stay in room 64 at the Chateau Marmont and supposedly used it to spy on women down at the pool.

The second teaser, "Towhead", shows a group of pale, blonde children standing in an eerie hallway. Could some of these be the blood-drinking kids of Lady Gaga's Countess?

The third teaser changes the entire meaning of sleepwalking. Perhaps you should avoid your mattress tonight and sleep with the lights on.

Murphy also shared two new character photos over the weekend, including one of The Countess and one of a masked man who may be Mr. March.

Still not scared? Don't worry, on Monday, Lily Rabe posted a photo on Instagram of the contacts used to play serial killer Aileen Wuornos on "Hotel." That means Murphy & Co. are already shooting the two-part Halloween episode, which we know will feature a dinner party of the most infamous serial killers. Prepare to not sleep for a while.

"American Horror Story: Hotel" premieres on Oct. 7 on FX.

Details on the AHS: Hotel Halloween episodes with Lily Rabe and Darren Criss

Fans of American Horror Story know that the Halloween episodes are typically pivotal installments and usually two-parters. AHS: Hotel’s installment, called “Devil’s Night,” will be no different.

The first hour will feature the return of AHS alum Lily Rabe, playing serial killer Aileen Wurnos. The episode will be focused around the dinner party from hell at the Hotel Cortez, involving guest and detective John Lowe (Wes Bentley). Teases co-creator Ryan Murphy, “The biggest serial killers of all time all come to the hotel. Gacey. Aileen. John Lowe’s invited to a devil’s night dinner. He thinks someone is pulling a huge prank on him. It’s the biggest serial killers of all time in a room with him and he has to figure who is trying to make him lose his mind.

Part two finds Criss playing a hipster who, along with his girlfriend, leaves Silverlake to avoid trick-or-treaters. Given the couple’s snotty attitude, their decision to check into the Hotel Cortez is not ideal. “They’re horrified they can’t get their artisanal cheese and they hate the sheets and they put Iris [Kathy Bates] through the wringer and she’s not happy,” says Murphy.

Take A Good Look At The Full Cast Of 'American Horror Story: Hotel' In All Their Creepy Glory
This place would have no stars on Yelp.

It's here! With less than a month to go until the show's Season 5 premiere, FX just released the full cast trailer for "American Horror Story: Hotel."

This season, showrunners Ryan Murphy and Brad Falchuk's twisted minds take us to Los Angeles' fictional Hotel Cortez with a storyline that we previously learned was inspired by a surveillance video of a girl who went missing after she entered an elevator in a downtown hotel.

New cast member Lady Gaga plays a bloodthirsty hotel owner known as The Countess, and since it's been noted she's not an actual vampire, her character sounds very much inspired by the infamous Countess Elizabeth Bathory.

Sarah Paulson returns to the show, this time as Hypodermic Sally -- and with a name like that, it's not surprising she's a hotel guest with a drug addiction.

Meanwhile, Lily Rabe also returns in a guest-spot, playing real-life serial killer Aileen Wuornos, whom Charlize Theron won an Oscar for portraying in 2003's "Monster."

Like previous seasons, "AHS: Hotel" features a huge ensemble cast including Kathy Bates, Matt Bomer, Chloë Sevigny, Wes Bentley, Angela Bassett, Evan Peters, Naomi Campbell and Darren Criss.

We can't wait.

"American Horror Story: Hotel" premieres Oct. 7 at 10:00 p.m. ET.

'American Horror Story: Hotel' Clip Brings You Inside The Dark Walls Of The Hotel Cortez

The latest season of "American Horror Story" is still a couple weeks away from its premiere, but a newly released clip is here to offer a first look behind the dark walls of the Hotel Cortez.

Watch the clip below to see the show's cast -- including Kathy Bates, Sarah Paulson, Angela Basset and Lady Gaga -- tell you about what to expect about all the creepiness to come.

According to Paulson, there will be blood. But we wouldn't expect anything less from this show or Ryan Murphy.

So, are you ready to check in?

"American Horror Story: Hotel" premieres on Oct. 7 on FX.

So, did anyone watch the pilot of Scream Queens?

Ryan Murphy is just genius.

No, I plan to watch it after the end of AHS so I'll have something to watch waiting for the sixth season (I know I'm crazy) but tell me, no spoiler, how would you rate the first episode?
And is Jamie Lee Curtis in good acting shape?
