Lindsey's playing has always been more about enhancing the song than playing a screaming solo. Examples of his best work in this vein for me are the studio version of Gypsy, his acoustic playing (layers and layers of it) on Sara and Silver Springs (studio version), Johnny Stew, Bel Air Rain, Gift of Screws.....

But solos...... I loved the Tusk-era live solo on Not That Funny, Frozen Love, Hold Me, Isn't it Midnight.

The title of this thread should be changed to best guitar work because many of the listed songs have no guitar solos but have amazing guitar work. I don't want to sound like I am splitting hairs but there is a huge difference between rocking guitar melody and guitar solos.
Anyhoo....every song Lindsey layers in some fine guitar. I wish he would add more guitar solos. Hold Me and Isnt it Midnight are 2 of my favorite.

One song that the guitar work by Lindsey took the song to another level is You Make Loving Fun. Those guitar licks turn a smokey love song into a rocking ballad.

I don't know if I grasped the concept but my favourite guitar moments are:

- Green Manalishi
- Frozen Love
- Rhiannon (live)
- I'm so afraid
- The chain
- Gold dust woman (live)
- Sisters of the Moon (live)
- Tango in the Night

If we're going with the Rumours band, here are my pics, in no order:

Go Your Own Way (both solos)
Smile I Live For (a solo song but essentially an FM tune with Mick, Chris, and Lindsey)
I'm so Afraid (but terrible vocal on the record)
Isn't it Midnight
Gypsy
My Little Demon

But Lindsey isn't as much a soloist as much as he's a part player. There are brilliant guitar bits in the ensemble sections of Hold Me, Gold Dust Woman, Eyes of the World, and Sara, among others.

If we're considering the rest of the lineups, my picks are:

Black Magic Woman
Before the Beginning
Coming Your Way (the end part)
Like it This Way
Oh Well
Trinity (the opening part)
Tell Me all the Things You Do (all of the guitar parts)
Future Games (all the guitar parts)
Miles Away
Revelation

Oh, if we include his solo work, I think there is so much to choose from! This is the Time rocks like hell. And the guitar fills are fierce.
