All that screaming... FM has never been about that(except Not That Funny on Mirage - but my high school friends made me fast forward past it, EVERY time). I don't even hate the song, but it belongs on a solo album, not FM, IMO.

A friend bought the deluxe version of SYW when it came out, and HATED it, mainly because of Come, and gave it to me.

I agree. I think she's lost dexterity, probably due to arthritis. And possibly mentally, too. I don't think you stay as sharp/have lapses of memory.

And hate Illume! Boring dreck, it is! That nasal singing is like a molasses enema!
Four, actually. I love WTWCT, but I also love Come. Me behind the wheel when Come is playing is not a good thing for the rest of the world

I don't like Miranda, Illume, Red Rover, Murrow and Silver Girl. Only 5 songs it's not so bad.

SYW had too many non-Fleetwood Mac sounding songs on it. My play list for the album is made up of songs that feel more like the band than solo.

WTWCT
Thrown Down
Miranda
SYW
Peacekeeper
Twisted (I know…It just fits better than the others)
Smile At You (John McVie is God!)
SYHA
Destiny Rules
BTLH
Say Goodbye
Goodbye Baby

ETA: SYW playlist w/ ITM songs

WTWCT
Friend
Thrown Down
Miranda
Easy Come, Easy Go
SYW
Peacekeeper
Twisted
You Are
Smile At You
SYHA
Anything Is Possible
Destiny Rules
Calumny
BTLH
Giving It Back
Say Goodbye
Goodbye Baby

——

SYW playlist w/ CM’s Songs from Time.

WTWCT
Hollywood
Thrown Down
Miranda
I Do
SYW
Peacekeeper
Sooner or Later
Smile At You
SYHA
Nights In Estoril
Destiny Rules
All Over Again
Say Goodbye
Goodbye Baby

Pure speculation, of course.
Musicians are prone to arthritis and piano players in particular. My guess would be its exacerbated if somebody played regularly but then had a long break. Its been mentioned before (by me, I'm sure) but she holds her two middle fingers on her right hand really awkwardly at times.

I have noticed this, too. Maybe it is arthritis.

Love:
"Murrow Turning Over in His Grave"
"Red Rover"
"Peacekeeper"
"Come"
"Steal Your Heart Away"
"Bleed to Love Her*"
"Destiny Rules"

Can't stand:
"What's the World Coming To?"
"Illume (9-11)"
"Smile at You"
"Running Through the Garden"
"Silver Girl"

ok/heh:
"Thrown Down"
"Miranda"
"Say You Will"
"Everybody Finds Out"
"Say Goodbye"
"Goodbye Baby"

Smile at You was better before Lindsey mucked with it for this album.

Agree Illume and Silver Girl not her best.

Thrown Down though is quite good and I like what it adds to our insights into band dynamics. Same with Say Goodbye.

And pairing Say Goodbye with Goodbye Baby works very well.
And the lines:

It was I who was
The hourglass
And the sands of time like
Shattering glass went past me
Like a tunnel to the sea

are among her best.

Agree on What's the World Coming To and I'd put Murrow right there with it.

I love WTWCT and Running Through the Garden just by watching them live on bootlegs.

I remember you didn't want BuckVie to sing BTLH at.... Austin?

You can really see the warped hand position in the video of her BBC performance of Songbird. Even doing the simple ascending pattern at the end seemed difficult for her. Not so with the left hand, which appeared to be comfortably positioned.

^^ original "angry" Smile at You was spectacular - a day and night from SYW version. i don't think she's capable of singing it that way anymore though. they should have left it where it was iin its original version instead of bringing it up, re-recording it and mucking it up.

I can't understand why Stevie agreed to that horrific change. The whole point of the song is the anger. They (Lindsey) turned a perfect emotional song into a meaningless melody.

LOL! Yes, San Antonio!

I also want diversity, but at this point all I want is tour dates.

I must be weird. I prefer the SYW version of “Smile At You.” John’s playing is absolutely breathtaking.

Cut Stevie's songs off SYW and the album turns out
to be a pretty good solo record for Mr. Buckingham.

I agree with you here. Smile at you on SYW is amazing and still angry IMHO.

I disagree with you about the non-Mac sounding songs. That was part of the appeal to me especially when Christine left. Lindsey experimented some which turned out great IMHO.
