NEW ALBUM FROM THE BAND IN late 2014----The first new STUDIO album from the Rumours lineup in 27 years.

2015 40th Anniversary Tour (Rumours lineup). This could also be billed as a FAREWELL TOUR, if they want to make a ton of cashola.

I have never seen the whole Rumours lineup together live.I never ever thought this would even have a chance to happen. Fingers crossed.

Why do that when 2017 would be Fleetwood Mac's 50th? Actually, why do a farewell tour at all? Any tour they do will make a ton of cash.

I always thought that Christine wanted to record with them. I've thought that since SYW, but I never thought that she would want to tour again or sound excited the way she does in the Guardian comments. So, that's a surprise.

I don't think FM will ever do a farewell tour. They've said they plan on touring till one of them dies and since you never know when that might be, you can never plan a Farewell Tour.

I'm so happy at the prospect. What's not to love for LIndsey and Stevie? They are getting older and wouldn't have to sing lead on as many songs. Much easier for them this way.

Lindsey seems a little ambiguous about it in the interviews he's given. This interview is probably the best example.

Quote:
“Well, that’s a good question! It’s an odd thing for me, in many ways I’m having a better time in the band as a foursome, only because it opens up a range of things that I can do. Except for maybe ‘Don’t Stop,’ we don’t do a lot of her stuff. It opens up the amount of material we can play, it allows me to be more of a ‘guy,’ to be more of who I am up there,” he explains, saying that without a keyboardist in the band, his guitar takes center stage.” I would be shocked if she ever expressed any interest to do anything with us. Shocked and pleased.”
My HUNCH is having an enthusiastic Christine back would help his big wish for the band, which can be found in this interview come true.

Quote:
"If it were up to me, what I would do is go into the studio with Fleetwood Mac and actually finish an album and put out a whole album. Maybe look at stringing not a whole year, but a big chunk of time behind that [to tour] and do something that we have not done in years and years, which is string a few experiences together without these long breaks. "

they need to finish an album and a tour in 2014.
Hahaha, don't get me wrong, the sooner the better! I would love love love love them to release an album in 2014 AND begin a tour. However, this is Fleetwood Mac we are talking about! If the Rumours five are rejoining and making their first album together since 1987, they are going to require it to be PERFECT. Fleetwood Mac has not hurried to record an album since 1975 and I don't see them doing it now, but we can keep our fingers crossed!

I wonder if John's health scare would light a fire under them to work a little faster. Shake them out of their complacency a little.

They're very different people in very different times. With technology, sobriety, maturity, and an outside producer who can keep them focused, it could easily be done in a month or two.

Hey, do we owe Steven Tyler a thank you card?

No. We owe Mick. She was going to do it anyway, no matter who made the call Steven Tyler, Rick Vito or me. Mick got her primed.

Just wondering if Christine would make
any difference financially?

If the split is now...

30% - Lindsey
30% - Stevie
20% - Mick
20% - John

And then...

25% - Lindsey
25% - Stevie
25% - Christine
12.5% - Mick
12.5% - John

Someone run the numbers.
Where's my pie graph charts Mr. Dyess?

The new album sales wouldn't offset the loss
percentage wise to Lindsey and Stevie from
touring. Unless of course Christine got them
to tour more dates with her than they would
without her.
