Default Rosebud Film

I have seen bits and pieces of this project, and I was wondering if someone can fill me in on any background information such as who filmed it, where it was filmed, what the purpose for it was, etc.

Much thanks!

i think the indoor footage was filmed in June of 1976...i remember reading somewhere that the tour rehearsals began in that month for the summer tour. i could be wrong but it would make sense.
my birthday is in may too! i was 6 then. isn't that exciting!? for me at least......

i wish and i know there is more footage that ended up on the cutting room floor....but you know they did "silver springs" for a few of those shows and i would kill to see a performance of it from back then....i also think that the "you make loving fun" performance on that film is one of the best i've heard.

I just got my copy of this today, and I guess I had seen the whole thing before. I guess I thought I had seen bits and pieces because the whole thing doesn't really flow from one scene to another.

Watching the performance of You Make Lovin' Fun on this film struck me unlike other performances. I know the background on how Chris wrote this song about her affair with Curry Grant - and it just struck me how incredibly painful this song must have been for John. Sure, Stevie and Lindsey wrote songs about each other, but they didn't write anything on Rumours about a love affair with someone else as Chris did with this song. John looked pretty pained during this, and I don't blame him!

Is there any video at all of a performance of Silver Springs during the early days?
