I like the Caution solo, it's different from the album version. Thank you for sharing!

The Killers have been performing it much closer to the album version, which is more melodic than the more jammy one LB did last night. i like the melodic cersion better, but still ecstatic that he joined them!

Wonderful to see Lindsey alongside Johnny Marr - two incredible guitarists with unique and distinctive styles. I wonder how they rate each other?

Last week, the Killers kicked off their North American tour and had opener Johnny Marr come out to cover a few Smiths song. The band was in Los Angeles on Saturday night at the Banc Of California stadium, and they had another special guest in the form of Lindsey Buckingham. Buckingham came out to play his guitar part from Imploding The Mirage single “Caution,” and then stuck around for a cover of Fleetwood Mac’s “Go Your Own Way.” Then Marr came out on stage again and everyone played “Mr. Brightside.” Check out video below.

The Killers‘ current North American tour has found the band frequently performing with their opening act, former Smiths guitarist Johnny Marr, and last night (Aug. 27) at Los Angeles’ Banc of California Stadium, they were joined by another legendary rocker.

On-again/off-again Fleetwood Mac member Lindsey Buckingham took the stage during the encore to guest on “Caution” from The Killers’ 2020 album Imploding The Mirage and stuck around for a cover of Fleetwood Mac’s classic “Go Your Own Way.” Buckingham and Marr then both joined The Killers for a show-closing “Mr. Brightside.”

Earlier in the set, Marr lent a hand on a cover of The Smiths’ “This Charming Man”; the musicians have previously performed the latter band’s “Stop Me if You Think You’ve Heard This One Before” and “There Is a Light That Never Goes Out” during the tour, which continues tonight outside Phoenix.

Performing at Los Angeles’ Banc of California Stadium, The Killers surprised fans by bringing out Buckingham for the encore. Together, they gave a rendition of Fleetwood Mac’s 1976 single ‘Go Your Own Way’, lifted from the iconic band’s 11th studio album, ‘Rumours’.

Fan-shot footage of the performance show Buckingham and The Killers frontman Brandon Flowers sharing vocal duties. Watch the performance below:

The encore also saw Buckingham join The Killers in a rendition of the latter band’s song ‘Caution’, from 2020’s ‘Imploding The Mirage’.

Buckingham, The Killers and their tour support, The Smiths‘ Johnny Marr, wrapped up the night with a performance of The Killers’ smash hit song ‘Mr. Brightside’.

Elsewhere in the show, Marr joined The Killers to deliver ‘This Charming Man’, The Smiths’ second ever single released way back in 1983. Flowers and co. have brought Marr out to perform together at other dates on the run, including at the Rogers Arena in Vancouver, Canada on Friday night (August 19) and Seattle’s Climate Pledge Areana the following night (August 20).

The Killers Played:

‘My Own Soul’s Warning’
‘Enterlude’
‘When You Were Young’
‘Jenny Was A Friend Of Mine’
‘Smile Like You Mean It’
‘Shot At The Night’
‘Running Towards A Place’
‘Human’
‘Spaceman’
‘Somebody Told Me’
‘Fire In Bone’
‘Boy’
‘A Dustland Fairytale’
‘For Reasons Unknown’
‘This Charming Man’ (with Johnny Marr)
‘Runaways’
‘Read My Mind’
‘Dying Breed’
‘All The Things That I’ve Done’

‘Caution’ (with Lindsay Buckingham)
‘Go Your Own Way’ (with Lindsay Buckingham)
‘Mr. Brightside’ (with Lindsay Buckingham and Johnny Marr)

The Killers’ continue their tour with Johnny Marr at New York’s Madison Square Garden on Tuesday (August 30). From there, they’ll tour until mid-October when they wrap up in Washington DC. Find remaining tour dates below and ticket info here.

SEPTEMBER
30 – New York, Madison Square Garden

OCTOBER
1 – New York, Madison Square Garden
3 – Boston, TD Garden
4 – University Park, Bryce Jordan Center
6 – Pittsburgh, Petersen Events Center
7 – Cleveland, Wolstein Center
8 – Detroit, Little Caesars Arena
10 – Washington, DC, Capital One Arena

The Killers’ shows have also seen them perform their latest single, ‘Boy’. Released on August 5 – and debuted at Mad Cool Festival 2022 back in July – the single marked the first new music from The Killers since their latest album ‘Pressure Machine’, released in 2021.

Speaking to NME ahead of the track’s release, Flowers reflected on the origins of ‘Boy’. “There’s an optimism to it,” he said. “It’s in the dust, it’s in the gutter, and it’s looking at the stars. It’s writing in more of a new wave vehicle.”

Elsewhere in the cover story feature, Flowers said he and The Killers are working on the follow-up to last year’s sixth studio offering. “You will hear singles this year,” Flowers shared. “The full record will probably be early next year, but there will definitely be more releases this year.”

it's on all the songs - maybe a camera for video screens in the back / on the sides?

Fleetwood Mac’s Lindsey Buckingham Joins The Killers Onstage For ‘Go Your Own Way’ And ‘Caution’

AUGUST 29, 2022

The Killers have been busy. They debuted their new song “Boy” at a festival set, then officially released it, and gave it a video. As of last week they’re on a big North American tour to celebrate songs from Pressure Machine and Imploding The Mirage, both of which were unveiled during the pandemic.

Recently the band invited opener The Smiths’ Johnny Marr onstage with them to cover one of his old band’s songs. On Saturday night in Los Angeles, they welcomed someone else onstage: Lindsey Buckingham, who played his guitar part from their song “Caution.” Buckingham stuck around for a rendition of his old Fleetwood Mac hit “Go Your Own Way.” This took place at the Banc Of California Stadium and it was a special performance to witness.

The performance was especially exciting following the spike in popularity for Fleetwood Mac in 2020 after their hit “Dreams” was revived on TikTok and hit the charts again, bringing Rumours to No. 7 on the Billboard 200 charts, which put it in the top 10 for the first time since 1978. The band were nothing short of pleased to hear about this at the time, writing on Twitter, “What a week! Thank you all.”

Watch Buckingham join The Killers for “Go Your Own Way” above, and watch him join for “Caution” below.
