Update: I'm afraid my earlier post was overly optimistic. They've discovered what's wrong with Kristin and it's pretty bad.
She's got a cyst the size of an orange in her pancreas. If something isn't done about it, she'll die, and the doctors right now aren't sure whether they should operate or not becuse she has infections. She still needs prayers.

I'm happy to report that the latest is good news.
Kristin still has all the problems we've talked about. However, she is responding well to treatments to stop the infection. Her organs are stable and they're getting a handle on the ecoli. They think that due to her youth (she's 24), unless something else goes wrong, she has a good chance of recovery. I don't know if I should celebrate yet - she has a long road ahead of her - but things sound a lot better than they did 24 hours ago. A LOT better. I dont really understand medicine and how things can keep changing so fast, but the doctors are hopeful, and we should be too. Thanks again for all of your concern and prayers - I'll keep you updated.
