But I have no qualms about doing anything while sober, so there would be no point in getting me drunk.

I live in two different places. My parents house is a standard (but f*cking ugly) four bedroom, two bathroom house in the suburbs.

We have a koi pond full of ogons, a giant schauzer, an adorable black cat, and a full grown ball python. Okay, we don't have any of that stuff. My Mom doesn't allow pets but those are all the pets I want.

Anyway, my dorm sucks, but I do spend most of my time there. No computer, damn it. Have to go to one of the university's labs for that. It's pretty damn ugly, too. And cheaply built. It's a unit with two bedrooms, a bathroom, and a kitchen-esque area with nothing more than a sink and some cabinets. That's a joke. My best friend lives in the other bedroom. The walls are covered with pictures of Stevie, Christine, Lindsey, Bob, Ani DiFranco, Carly Simon, Barenaked Ladies, The Beatles, and lots of others. And I decorate with stethoscopes, too.

Since Josh absolutely scared the **** out of me with the price of his apartment, I have to ask y'all what apartments go for where you live. I haven't ever tried to rent one, but it's on my mind for the future, and I hear that it's hard to get any one bedroom that feels remotely safe for less than about $450 a month. I've seen some pretty nice places for around $700 a month. Are the prices dramatically different where y'all are?

I haven't been able to find a really nice place for less than $500, at least here in Lexington. I pay $592/mo.

I guess I'm shocked because I live at home and am a spoiled brat. LOL I just cannot imagine paying that for an apartment, I would rather live in a house, with privacy and quiet. That's pretty much the only dream I have...to own my own home someday.

I have two bedrooms and two bathrooms, a kitchen, dining room, wet bar, balcony, fireplace and foyer. The building I live in was built in 1961 and was converted to condos in the late 70's. Donna Summer used to live in the unit down the hall from me during her salad days. We've upgraded one of the closet units into a laundry room, which really kicks ass to be able to do laundry!

The view from the balcony is pretty good. Because I'm at the base of the Hollywood Hills, I'm above street level so I can see all of downtown L.A, Bunker Hill, Park LaBrea, etc.

Average rent for a one bedroom apartment in my neighborhood is about $1,600.00 a month. Needless to say, I'm glad I own.

I have three long-haired chihuahuas and a dopey cat. Usta have two other cats, but they passed on over the last year.

I love living in West Hollywood. If anyone needs tickets to The House of Blues LA, or needs a parking pass for a concert- lemme know. It's my backyard. It was very cool to be able to walk out my door and go around the corner and walk into Stevie's Pondering the Millennium shows.

If I can figure out how to deal with my digital camera, I'll post some photos.

You must have some swanky assed cocktail parties.

I live in a 4 bed, 2 bathroom, study, 3 living areas, dining, single garage, single story home in quite an upperclass estate in my area (we aren't typical lol). We have been here six yeard s with my parents and brother and we are only just starting to fix up the yard and we are having some work in a week or two and very soon having a pool in. Our block is about 800square metres...I don't know what they is as feet or yards or whatever you use in America, it is cosy but I think it is too small, and its a problem because it isn't finished.

I live in a 2 story house that has 2 bedrooms, 1 1/2 baths. It's a great house for the money I paid for it although it certainly isn't in one of the upscale areas. I have a nice fenced patio and enough garden to be perfect for someone who works all the time. I also have a carport and I love that feature! I live with my family of cats and love it that way. I live near Washington DC, down near Fort Belvoir for anyone who knows the area.

I live in a 2 bedroom apartment and I have 1 roommate. I don't have any pets but she has 2 cats. I live about 30 minutes from San Francisco in a posh suburb. My apartment complex is nice but very normal and nothing fancy. There's a little pool but no work out room or anything like that.

The apartment I'm currently in is $1300 a month. It's really too much money for what it is. It has 3 bedrooms, 2 baths, no view, and annoying neighbors . I think it's that much because it's new and there's alot of expensive houses in the area.

In a few weeks I'll be moving to a new house, so good riddance to apartment life.

In terms of my living situation, I'm really really lame.

I still live in my parents' house (rent is OUTRAGEOUS in my area so I can't afford to move out) which is a crappy three bedroom/two bathroom maybe 1500 sq. ft. house in a sh*thole town called Vacaville (which has a prison that was once home to Charles Manson and is full of churches and gas stations and the only things to do here are eat, shop, bowl, and watch movies). I am the only child still at home. I share the house with my parents and my menagerie of two cats, four rats, four bettas, sixteen hermit crabs, and a frog.

I live in an apartment in downtown Seattle. It's a good-sized studio in a new, modern, eight-story building. I had a nice two bedroom, three bathroom condo out in the suburbs for a few years but I was bored and the condo was too big so I sold it and decided to try city life. My responsible side tells me that I should buy something instead of rent but I really do like having an apartment and not being attached to something. I like knowing that I could pack my things tommorrow and disappear. I know, I have issues. I love living in the city, there are hundreds of bars, restaurants, shops, theaters, etc. within walking distance, it's probably not for everyone but it's perfect for me. I live alone, I had roommates when I was younger but I can't deal with that anymore. I had a cat here but she died last year. I loved her but I'm done with pets, no more kitties for me.

Very convenient but eco unfriendly.
