I live with my boyfriend (of 11+ years ) in a little one bedroom, one bathroom cinder block house. The bedroom, kitchen, living room and office are exactly the same size -- it's basically just a quartered square with a bathroom off the back. There's a big yard, though. Almost an acre, I think. We have one inside cat and three outside. Oh, and we're two houses down from my parents.

I live with a roommate in a small, 2 bedroom/1 bathroom cottage. It's 80 yrs old, but the landlord restores the whole place every couple years. It's quaint & cozy. And by that I mean waaay too small. But when the going rate for a 1 bedroom apartment in a decent area is $1,000 - $1,500 a month, whadda ya gonna do???

For Boston, that's pennies. I got into my building when it was being sold to new owners and got locked into the rent control before the sale, so I don't have to worry about the rent going up.

I live in Sparkyland, which is in Los Angeles. Because I am hypersensitive to stimulus and noise, I live with my 2 small parrots on an acre in the hills, up a private driveway in a 2bd/2ba 2000 sq ft house. It is a modern house, a la Schindler, that is about 70% floor to ceiling windows. It's like living in a treehouse. No neighbors can see me, and I can't see them. I only see trees, deer, squirrels, skunks, and the occasional coyote. The best part - no one can see the swimming pool either. It's my own private little oasis, and helps keep me off the Xanax that living in such a chaotic city might require me to take otherwise.

I own a 1600 sq condominium on the fourth floor of a five story building in beautiful downtown West Hollywood. The view from my den window from left to right- The Mondrian Hotel, The House of Blues, The Continental Hyatt House, the back of The Standard and then The Argyle Hotel.

I have two bedrooms and two bathrooms, a kitchen, dining room, wet bar, balcony, fireplace and foyer. The building I live in was built in 1961 and was converted to condos in the late 70's. Donna Summer used to live in the unit down the hall from me during her salad days. We've upgraded one of the closet units into a laundry room, which really kicks ass to be able to do laundry!

The view from the balcony is pretty good. Because I'm at the base of the Hollywood Hills, I'm above street level so I can see all of downtown L.A, Bunker Hill, Park LaBrea, etc.

Average rent for a one bedroom apartment in my neighborhood is about $1,600.00 a month. Needless to say, I'm glad I own.

I have three long-haired chihuahuas and a dopey cat. Usta have two other cats, but they passed on over the last year.

I love living in West Hollywood. If anyone needs tickets to The House of Blues LA, or needs a parking pass for a concert- lemme know. It's my backyard. It was very cool to be able to walk out my door and go around the corner and walk into Stevie's Pondering the Millennium shows.

If I can figure out how to deal with my digital camera, I'll post some photos.

So I take it you have no tan lines? Me either!
Skin cancer be damned! Nude sunbathing/swimming is the best. And I work nights, so I've got lots of daytime free.
I play my ultimate summer album, MTM, almost everyday at the pool. About 5-6 weeks til I can open mine.........

I didn't know the full extent of your oasis, doll.

Why would you ever even consider New York, dumbass?

Sounds very nice.

I *may* be up in that neighborhood in June (but I think you'll be gone at that time) if I can get the time off of work because Debbie is headlining some GLBT pride festical and I must go.

I NEVER go to that madhouse, but if Dissy comes out for it, I am so there. We can get him drunk.

I have it written down as June 11th. I have some boots from her shows at gay clubs in NYC and she's one catty, naughty bitch. I'm crossing my fingers that I can go, man, like you wouldn't believe.
