Well, maybe we'd have to spend several evenings together leading up to the concert.
You know, strictly for therapeutic purposes.

Yep, welcome to my world! A guy I work with is always telling me how fat I'm getting, and he weighs 50 pounds more than I! I just don't have the body build for extra weight.

Lets face it, we make lots of resolutions, but we usually don't bother with most of them. I won't make a resolution, because I know I'll forget about it later.

"I fell Into a burning Ring of Blubber"
I to have to conquer the weight monster. Only about 15 lbs, but, if i don't get it off, I'm going to have to allow my thighs to begin their bid for world domination (it's on, Lux). Thus far i've been holding them off, but it's just a matter of time...

I feel your pain, my friend.

I think the biggest kick in the teeth for me, was when my neighbors were here for a little get-together the September before last, and they were all discussing Jerry Lewis having gained so much weight (the M.D.A. telethon was that weekend). One of my neighbors turned to me and said, "you're getting pretty fat, too, Brian!"

OUCH.

And I only weighed 176!

I think we just might have to find out, Curtis.

You know, for purely scientific purposes.

music addict (Internet too, But not nearly as bad as my music addiction, which is nearly at legendary status!)

It's really bad when I am a customer and I have to assist a clerk in a music store cause they dont have frikkin clue.

Awhile back at a "Borders" store while browsing throught the music a customer was talking to her friend asking "What song is Tom Cruise singing in that movie with him in the underwear", Her friend didnt know so they ask the clerk who seemed as intelligent as a dead tumbleweed, So I told those nice ladies "The song is "Old Time Rock & Roll" by Bob Seger & the Silver Bullet Band and the movie is "Risky Business", Which made those ladies day as they proceeded to look for & purchase some Bob Seger music & the Risky Business video...The hapless clerk gave me a go-to-hell look and offered me her nametag/apron/job but I declined

I love that!

And I'm loving the Curtis and Brian saga. Y'all keep it up. ( )

And I changed my mind about resolutions since I've been reading this thread. This coming year I am going to convince someone (male or female, probably female since they are always worse about it) that he or she does not need to lose weight and looks perfectly beautiful the way he/she is!!!

And I will continue convincing myself in the process, since it has turned into an ongoing process, unfortunately.

Honestly, what the hell is wrong with people? Who SAYS that??? By the way, I am 5'6" and do not weigh much less than that, although I lost 2 lbs. Either that or my doctor's scale is calibrated differently than my gym scale. If I ever manage to get back to the gym, I'll maybe figure that out. Stupid gym. Right now I'm just so tired from the holidaze and getting through this depression since my breakup with the BF. Yes, that's right, I'm on the market.

Anyway, I HATE that people think it is okay to comment on other's weight like that, it is so rude. I've had people say inappropriate things to me about it ("eat a salad") and it really hurts. Although I am sensitive. Anywya, I gotta get home, Peapod is coming!

PS, I *might* be addicted to the Ledge.

PPS, Amber, I love your new pic with the kitties! So cute
