I don't know that they're worth renting, but they're worth catching if you're ever flipping through the channels & find them. Old-time black & white slapstick.

Yeah, I thought he was a doctor, but figured he might have been an uncle too.
I know Paul Lynde only from clips of the old Hollywood Squares.

Gladys Kravitz, that's it. I had a Mrs. Kravitz in the fifth grade. Just as nosey, but meaner. Actually, she was the witch.

I think you're perky

Who is Curly and who is Shemp, I've never heard of either of them I know a Curly from the 3 Stooges but I don't think that's who you're talking about...or maybe it is...is Shemp the lost Stooge? I'm losing it and it's late

Editing here......if it's one of the Stooges...wasn't Mo the guy with the slicked back hair parted in the middle? I'm soooo confused - help!!!

They're all Stooges.
Moe had the black bangs.
Larry had the frizz that Moe would pull out in clumps.
Curley was buzzed. He died before the others.
Shemp was slicked back with a center part.
Later came Joe & Curley Joe, but they weren't as funny.

Now I remember Shemp! You didn't tell me who Joe was but I have a vague recollection. Yes, Moe and his bangs, very attractive LOL

I haven't seen one in a long time but they were so funny when I was a kid.

Now that you've explained it, I'll pick Curly

I can only speak of my experiences on the east coast, but Gilligan's Island and the Three Stooges aired regularly, and not on cable. And that doesn't mean these days I watch them regularly or would because I'm over thirty.
Well speaking from West Coast I only remember them being on a few non standard channels. Hope I didn't insult you with the 30 and over comment it's just that people over thirty would've had a better chance seeing the show when it first aired. Most of my peers would be hard pressed to name anyone on Gilligans Island.

Of course the question could've gone "Brenda or Kelly" or "Monic or Rachel or Phobe" and gotten similar mixed reviews.

The only show that seems to have survied for all ages is "I love Lucy."

Oh man, but nothing could be worse than "From A Distance," "Wind Beneath My Wings," etc.
Bette's a great, sassy gal, and I love her... but many of her songs are so cloying and schmaltzy, they make my teeth rot just hearing them!

Curley is by far the most popular with the public.
