Glastonbury deny Fleetwood Mac rumours

United Kingdom | 11 December 2009
Glastonbury Festival organisers have this morning (Friday) quashed speculation that Fleetwood Mac are set to headline the event in 2010.
Rumours had been circulating that the group were due to top the bill on the Sunday night of the festival but, according to NME.com, a Glastonbury spokesperson has said that it is “unlikely”.

However the festival didn’t say if the group would be appearing elsewhere at the event’s 40th anniversary.

U2 have been confirmed as headliners for next year’s event with Muse strongly rumoured to be joining them.

Glastonbury Festival 2010 will take place at Worthy Farm, Pilton, Somerset from 23-27 June.

Here's my thought right now:

Fleetwood Mac have already started their album, while they had a breake this summer. They'll record the album in the first half of 2010...
They finish and go on a world tour again, because Mick said there are a suprise in the summer 2010...
They'll do that Glastonbury concert....and continue touring Europe.
Then they go back to the US and tour there...maybe Australia after that.

Well, that's a dream...can be happening...or cannot...?

I would absolutely love it if they did play Glastonbury next year.. Last year my best friend waited all day to be at the front for Bruce Springsteen, I'd do the same for the Mac!

I don't care much for Muse or U2.. But FM would make my weekend!
