Thanks for posting that. It must be right after B & R had been hastily yanked into the band -- both have sort of a deer-in-the-headlights look here. What would they have been thinking about at this point? That they had maybe a decade or two of 'The New Mac' ahead of them? Four, five albums over the years? That maybe they could influence the band away from the slick production pop and back to a rootsier blues-rock (Rick) or country-rock (Billy) sound? Or maybe just, 'this tour is going to be one helluva paycheck!.........'
Did Lindsey really refer to this tour as Fleetwood Mac's "swan song?" I know he's not shy about speaking his opinions, but really . I'm glad they didn't "Curl up and die" (as Mick put it) when Lindsey left. It would have been a shame to see the story of Fleetwood Mac end with an abruptly canceled tour, a raggedy tell-all book, and acrimonious feelings all around.......(on second thought, that last item has served them quite well over the years. ) |
