Default Red Rover

Anyone out there that really likes this song, but thinks it suffers in concert?

At Marysville, the sound was too mushy to make it effective.

Actually I heard it the other day for the first time live from the Champaign show and I like it better than the studio version. It seemed to have a little more feeling and not so much production. But I do like the studio version too.

I'm keeping my mouth shut for fear that Christy will kick my butt if I say something.

Unhappy

I loved this song on the album. When I first listened to the album it was one of the songs that really grabbed me. I heard great things from everyone here that the song was great live.....I was dissapointed. I too was in Marysville and was throughly dissapointed with the way it came across. It sounded muddy and lost. I am hoping it was because I was at the stage. I hope it sounds better once I am farther back in the venues.

Cool G'head...

Say it!

I'll wait until you are finished......then, yeah, I'll kick your butt.

I know you don't like the song, there are lots who don't. You were bored during Red Rover....I was bored during Rhiannon....

Okay. For me, I wasn't sure which was worse, the album version where I couldn't make out the lyrics very clearly, or the live version, where I almost could.
But please don't think I'm knocking people's tastes. I don't connect to this song, but it's the kind of musically artistic song that I respect people for liking, just as there are some creative-type songs that I love but others loathe.

Lol, sometimes it was, when Linds or Mick would scream...whoa!!! that went right thru my head lol, but the three smiles from Linds made up for it haha, other than that, it sounded really good haha

And apparently my step dad was getting pissed at Linds for smiling at me!!! I love Lindsey more now for getting my step dad angry

Exclamation Lol

It WAS the speaker! When you are on the front row, EVERY song sounds like crapola! It's very difficult to hear at a concert anyways, which is why I put my fingers in my ears a lot of times, so I can HEAR the person singing. With the bad sound and the drunk a$$es...it's difficult. I did that in Dallas for RR and it moved me to sobbing. Some people felt that way during and after Sara, that's awesome!! That's what music is made for....to touch lives.

I know that people connect to different songs, it's all good.
