Imagine paying $1000 to hear "Don't Dream It's Over" instead of "Go Your Own Way"

Fleetwood Mac helped me through a time of heartbreak. 12 years later, they broke my heart.

I take it Fleetwood Mac songs like "Rhiannon" are not eligible?

What about the Deep Dish version of "Dreams"?

What about "That's Alright" (BN demo version)? Is that eligible even though the only released version of the song is FM?

I'm not even sure if I even LIKE 20 solo-songs. I love Stevie with FM, but her solo work is so damaged by dated, or (especially in her later work) lousy production and the fact that obvioulsy noone dared to say "Honey, that is too much, cut the drama" or "This is not a good idea/this song is just not good enough".

I do like:
Rock a Little (long version)
If anyone falls
Enchanted
Leather and Lace
How still my love
Rooms on fire
Trouble in Shangri La

I also like Stand Back, but only in every FM live version.

I agree with you. This song sucks donkey dicks. It’s like one big rambling blur. It’s her “Look at me!!!! I’m on drugs!!!!! song... ta ta in the wind, Nell...

I love it because it is rambling and chaotic and big. To me it is a classic. Much more interesting than No Spoken Word, which seems to get so much more love.

No spoken Word is forgettable in my opinion but everyone has their tastes. I just think of The Nightmare as her drug song.

I'll take Nightmare over just about anything else of hers. It's windswept. It both defies and morbidly revels in death, like a Bronte plot. The narrative drops its guard and its characteristic Stevie poses and just wails. Most fans say you have to read between the lines to appreciate Stevie, but her songs aren't really worth reading between the lines except for this one and a few others, like Dreams. This one is dark, loamy, disturbed, like the undulating carpet in Keats. It's Stevie's "Eve of St. Agnes." Most of her poetry is "gothic" like Lifetime Movie Network or "romantic" like Barbara Cartland or "mystical" like the Mary Leader novel she once read—ersatz art. But The Nightmare is the real deal, and Stevie probably was never even fully aware of it. (The only time she ever talked about it was to Jim Ladd, briefly, in 1986.) It is her drug song, filled with incommensurates and flashes of madness. It's like those images of craggy shipwrecks in Continental Romantic paintings. I love the idea that she never even attempted to sing it live.
