Hi everybody!

I haven’t had much time to be at the Ledge lately, but hope to write more in the future.

I have a picture of a festival poster from Insel Fehmarn, Germany, dated 4,5,6 September 1970. And it features Peter Green there on a leaf!!

I don’t know if he ever appeared there alone, with a band or at all?!?

But it sure seems like a great festival with names such as
Jimi Hendrix, Ten Years After, Sly And The Family Stone, Ginger Baker’s Airforce, Emerson, Lake & Palmer, Canned Heat, Taste and Cactus.

Maybe some of you can supply any information??

That's very interesting, Daniel!
I had no idea about this. By the way, that was Hendrix's last
official concert before he died. The festival was plagued by violence
and terrible weather, with Hell's Angels making trouble.
I have a documentary in German about this festival, but I don't think it mentions Peter.

I had no idea it was Hendrix's last gig. I guess the documentary would have mentioned Peter if he'd played there...

That's a great poster, Daniel! That festival is not mentioned in Martin Celmins' book or in anything else I've read about Peter Green, so I suspect you're correct that he did not actually play there.

DID Jimi even play? For 35 years I've been under the assumption that his last live performance was at the Isle Of Wight festival.

Yes,
Jimi did play, I have a boot of the show. But his concert was
delayed one day because of the terrible weather.
The boot opens with the audience booing...and Jimi replying
"I don't give a F*CK if you boo, as long as you boo in key", I think
theat's pretty great.
