Love, drugs, and the sea are what she should stick to recording songs about.

I like this sonically. And I LOVE this spooky woman in the lighthouse theme. But damn, my noggin is sore from her hitting me over the top of the head with those protest signs. Could it be any less subtle?

Best part is the pregnant black woman with an afro playing a VIOLIN. What in the actual f.

I miss the boots! I guess she is Protest Stevie now, so she is wearing COMBAT boots, it appears.

Some people are missing the point. she's NOT releasing this as "just another song" for the sake of doing a SONG.

She is deliberately making a POLITICAL STATEMENT, and she has chosen to articulate her political position via a song. BIG difference.

So yeah, if you don't like the political position, chances are you're not going to entirely be onboard with the song, no matter how great a song it might be. She KNOWS this. And she CHOSE to put it out anyway. She is allowed to do this. You are allowed not to like it and, if you choose, not to listen to it.

I have listened to it. But I darn sure won't be buying it.

Reading some of the comments on YouTube this morning, it seems there are some diehards with YouTube handles we all know and listen to, who are none too pleased, as well.

Personally, I don't care for political songs, in general. I am not disliking this one based on how much I do/not agree with its "message."

Remember when she used to say in interviews, "I'm fine, I'm not a feminist. My life is good, so I don't need to go protest and picket."

Now she's the beacon. It's just ludicrous.

We've been here before; "singing songs and doing benefits."

Ludicrous so says a bunch of dudes. Imagine the shift in perspective if men were being told what they can and cannot do with their body.

A lot has happened in the past 5+ years.

She's been shaken out of complacency, and she's not alone in that.

I love seeing all the stories on yahoo, msn, and google about Stevie’s song, and I hope the song makes me people really think about Roe vs Wase.
Agreed. And don’t forget Rick Vito’s for Trump.

She's not alone. Howard Stern who considered himself a friend of Trump and always had him on his show said he is freaked out enough to talk more about politics. He said he does not care if he loses half of his audience but he's not going to be silent anymore and does not care who hates him for it. You would think it would be an Onion article that Dick Cheney endorsed a democrat for president. General McChrystal took so much heat as an active general who openly criticized President Obama while in office just endorsed Harris. People are no longer sitting on the sidelines.

The spooky lighthouse setting and dark, windy beach completely suits her. I really like the video even though I'm not voting her way. She should of done something like this earlier in her career. It's probably her best video.

Suits her very well. I wish someone would make an edit of the music video with all the signs and activists cut out of it.

I know, and that bums me out . But having said that, I still love Rick’s music.

I know Lindsey is voting for Harris, and I strongly suspect Mick is, too. I would bet big money Billy and Bekka will vote for Harris, as well. John is the only one I’m not sure about.

Does anyone have any thoughts on what the 4 doves and the headless angel statue symbolize?
