Dallas Section 11 row W at Ticketmaster tonight (Thursday)
I'm telling myself that I'll find something better over the next two weeks, but if anybody is interested, this is the first floor seat available at TM for Dallas in weeks. 11 is front & center. Good luck.

I know. I've been watching these like a hawk. I checked earlier today and they still weren't available. I pulled a 2nd row for Grand Rapids and didn't buy it and now I'm glad I didn't. I'd rather buy Dallas instead. Christy are we still getting on the bus, honey?

Now section 10 row U is coming up for Dallas.
I know this happened for earlier concerts. Would somebody explain how good seats that were not available are suddenly becoming available? Were the seats sold and then returned or something? Are TPTB just tormenting us? Please explain. - Jake

I'll take a stab at the explanation-promoters often hold back seats for VIP's (industry people, celebrities, friends and family of the band members, etc.) These are seats that have NEVER been offered up through fan clubs or general public sales. As the concert date approaches, the promoter will "give back" the unnecessary allotment to sell. That's why you don't see these seats until the day of, or 2 weeks before, any given concert. This is a very common practice...not just on FM's current tour. I pulled up a 4th row ticket for the Dixie Chicks concert at 4:30, the day of the show, which supposedly "sold out" in 2 hours.
However, the "wait 'til the last minute tactic" may not always work...you just never know. Personally, I wouldn't count on great seats popping up at the last minute if I was buying airfare and traveling a great distance to see my favorite band. My Dallas ticket is the best fan club offering I encountered - I'm in Section 11, Row R. I had my 2nd row experience in Nashville, so I think I'll stick w/ what I've got. Thanks for the explanation, Livia. I figured it was something like that.
I'm assuming you'll be at Dallas? - Jake
