I just got my cds I’m listening to it on headphones. The sound quality is amazing. My daughter gets the boot that I have had of this show (which isn’t too bad) I loved the Mirage tour. They rocked live without the “extended band” and Stevie’s voice was the voice that got me hooked.

I saw this on another forum that I read. Not earth shattering news, but it confirms our suspicions:

“The upcoming 1982 disc is a combination of vintage mixes (for the songs on vhs/laserdisc) and new mixes (for the unreleased material). I was told so, by someone who worked on the project”

I'm really enjoying this CD. I've always loved the live Mirage Eyes Of The World, much more than the album version. And Lindsey's guitar solos on Blue Letter are perfection!

Maybe one day we'll get the full thing on video, before all of us die...

What do you mean? Another version of this is being released?

I just got my CD too and put it on my Bose system and the quality is outstanding. I would have cut my right arm off to have this full concert and this quality and good in the mid 80s.

No, they just meant that it's a mix of tracks originally mastered for the laserdisc that were remastered for the 2016 Mirage set and the new additional tracks added in 2024 that make up the entire show.

Is it me or do all the songs sound so much faster tempo compared to recent years. There is such life to these songs. I know they were younger and their voices in better shape. But there definitely a spring in their step in all these songs. Maybe it was the blow.

It's not you. The brits are fantastic musicians. I can now see how much heavy lifting Christine did on piano, and Mick on drums. John's bass is an absolute anchor.

Even if you go back to the opening track Get Like You Used To Be, (FM Deluxe). It's astounding how fast they are going. No wonder her wrists were sore.

I now see what they meant when they wondered how to continue live without Christine McVie. She's so rooted in the foundation of what they do.

Mick too. his idiosyncrasy(s) and fills completely jam and equally go with what they are doing "in the moment".

These recordings show how a song like even "Gypsy" can be incredible. I don't think I'll ever listen to another version of Gypsy again.

Thank you Rhino!!

Ok its just not me. I loved the HBO Gypsy but I like this one more. I cant explain why. Maybe its the quality? Its just gorgeous. Stevie nails all the words and the backing vocals. Seriously. Gypsy was never ever the same live ever again. Sara was never the same ever again. Landslide was never the same again.
I never liked the recorded VHS Rhiannon. It just seemed like a song where Stevie struggled and the song was not living up to previous tours. But this Rhiannon is so much better. Stevie's vocal fry is not as bad as the VHS release version.
The bouncy Don't Stop is a treat. This was before the song became an anthem and was slowed down a bit. Its got this bluesy feel to it as they jam to the end.

He sometimes would scream "Christine MAC!!" before her solo.

It’s strange to hear Don’t Stop at the beginning of the set. Eyes of the World is so amazing live as is Second Hand News. It’s a great collection, it’s like I’m back in Philly in ‘82 seeing them live with Men at Work.

Yep, it was Men At Work in Indy, too. I immediately went out and bought their album.

Literally one of the best nights of my life. 5th row center. Tix were $16!!! There with my best friend, at the height of my fandom. GD, for a time machine!

I am the outlier here... I do not like Stevie's vocals on this at all. have always disliked them. THey're very strained, overly vibrato, and sound possibly tweaked. The band sounds great, but her vocals are just.... already a shadow of their former selves. Gypsy is

I get what you say. I don’t and never liked her vocals on Gypsy on this recording or the HBO version. I remember at the first time hearing it ( actually watching it) I was like WTF! But I love the rest of her vocals on all other songs.

I hate her vocal on Mirage HBO. Droning and monotonous.
