Default New Mirage tour live album on Spotify

Anyone else see this? It appears to be the full set from the 1982 The Forum shows. The album cover is really good. Don’t Stop is the early release.

Hopefully this means we’ll get the videos soon too.

This is really cool to get an official release of a Mirage show. I was really, really hoping the next release would be one of the complete tusk shows we don't have i.e. Richfield etc. Maybe next year!

They did quite a few shows in Richfield (Cleveland). I would love a "real" show from those. Not the Mirage Tour LA, labeled as Cleveland.

I am kind of surprised they went with a Mirage show for an official release, primarily because it's probably the one tour where Stevie's voice was the weakest link (it did make for a killer sisters of the moon!)

She shines, however. The Chain howls are iconic, in my opinion. And most every other SOTM is boring compared to the HBO version.

Not really. There are several nights of Sara in 1982 that Stevie hits the high notes on Sara as if it was December 1979. She was at peak powers but yes her voice was fried on some songs. That HBO Rhiannon is an example.
If you check on the Mirage show in NJ and play Sara its never been sung the same way since. It was the last days of the super high ooooooooooooo's that she pulled off perfectly. We also get the vocal bridge on Gypsy that she does quite nice.

I wonder if they have footage of the full concert video some where, or if the Masters are lost (for film).

WHO owns the footage? HBO?

I've listened to countless Mirage shows and Tusk with Sisters of the moon. The L.A. Forum show she does something I've not heard her do before with the "Sister, brother, sister, brother" This version is also the only one I heard her speak in tongues. Dear God the blow must have been so good that night in addition she was hamming it up for HBO.

I watched YMLF but did not see a clothing change. However the close up in the end of Stevie (yeah yeah) she's got some sort of cape on? Is this close up of Nicks and her "yeah yeah" part edited in?

I love the HBO show and we could spend forever dissecting the good, bad, awesome, crazy, blah blah blah.
One part that I LOVE because its pure camera effect you would never see today is when the Chain is going strong near the end of the vocals and the camera is on Stevie close up. The camera goes out of focus to then focus on Chris's close up. That's the way it was done in those days but that effect is so cool and prove its really live stuff.
I always thought Stevie looked stoned during Gypsy but her vocals are perfect. I also love the side eye Chris gives Stevie when she comes on stage during YMLF. It may not have meant what it looks like but it really stands out. "Go back in the tent and do your blow darling, this is my song. You are not needed."

She did the brother sister thing in Oakland too and the ending was a bit chaotic but not as much speaking in tongues as she did at the Forum.

You are so correct. I just listened to it. Great trivia question and you nailed it. It is a great version though but not as powerful as L.A. Her voice seemed to be in better shape in L.A. too. Sometimes edits are made to cover up a mistake by the band. I wonder if the band was tighter on one night of Sisters and not the other. When they saw the speaking of tongues they figured they had to put that part in from the other night.
On another note, gosh I love Christine's keyboard playing on sisters. Its so haunting and so signature Christine.
Could you imagine the stories some of these camera men could tell if they are still alive.

Heads up - it looks like NTF is the edited version If you zoom in on the image of the CD packaging you'll see "9:06" next to the song title on the disc.

I bet some idiot edited the tape back in the day and the entire version doesn't even exist anymore OR the full length version would prevent the entire show fitting on two discs. We're only talking about 2-ish additional minutes. I haven't had enough coffee to do that kind of math.
