Talking Schlong Tumours

I borrowed the scanner from work and finally got around to scanning the Schlong Tumours jacket and inner sleeve pics. For those of you who don't know, Schlong is a punk band from LA who covered the entire Rumours album - it all fits on a 45. The fine print on the bottom of the back cover says:

John LickMe-Basss (sic)
Frenzy F*ckingscam-Guitars, Vocals
Sleazy Tricks-Vocals
Sick Weakling-Drums & Percussion
Crusty D*ckcheese-Keyboards, Synthesizers, Vocals

Bun Length Records, Inc. - a subsidiary and licensee of your butthole

Hey, Livia, did those guys cover the "Fleetwood Mac Live" album version of "Rhiannon"? I have a tape of a punk cover version of that (including the whole "take me like the wind, baby, take me to the sky" part) but I don't know who it is or when it was done.

I don't remember, David. I also have it on cassette. I'll listen to it on my commute tomorrow and let you know! I do remember that the entire album is only about 10 minutes long!

It might be Redd Kross's cover version that you're talking about. Trackaghost should have more info on that one.

Wow Gaius I didn't think you remembered me Hi, btw

Redd Kross did a really lo-fi punk rock cover of Rhiannon complete with the "Take me with the wind" lyrics at the end, back in 1988. It's pretty rare as it was only available on a flexi-disc given away with the magazine Pulsebeat. I was after it for ages but finally managed to track down a copy last year, and Nancy not long ago posted it on her site. (Everyone has Gaius to thank for finding Cat Power's rather strange and lovely version of Dreams.)

Hope that helps!
