Default Greyson Chance your thoughts?

So I watched this kid Greyson Chance on Ellen last week for the first time and was pretty impressed with his voice. I had no idea there was this neat backstory about how he was discovered and what happend since. I like the fact that he isn't full of himself like so many of the young stars seem to be these days. Where I work we were debating on whether or not he was worth the hype or if it was too soon to be signing him to a record deal. Somebody brought up that kid from 10 years ago Billy Gillman and mentioned that he hasn't really been heard from since his 1 big hit when he was 11. Personally I think that Greyson is very talented and am interested to see what his album is like.

I'm too lazy to google his name, so I'll assume he's the little boy who plays piano, sings Lady Gaga and looks like one of Ellen's exes?

He's really awful. I fear for the generation raised on Gaga (an extrapolation of that demon spawn Tori Amos).

And what a set-up! Trust me, no parent is going to get a shot like the one of him that was on YouTube. That was professionally staged and prepared (note the perfectly cast girls--ONLY!?--IN FOCUS in the background--the one who looks like Kirsten Dunst is the real star of that video, I think--she's very expressive).

Anyway, then he shows up on Ellen the next day and Ellen just happens to be starting her own record company and decides to sign the kid she helped make a star... hmmmm... I smell something, um, fishy.

Imagine paying $1000 to hear "Don't Dream It's Over" instead of "Go Your Own Way"

Fleetwood Mac helped me through a time of heartbreak. 12 years later, they broke my heart.

Flash in the pan. Grating voice. Makes me want to drive a railroad spike through my head.

I like the kid. I would prefer him over Justin Bieber any day.
