Oakland in 24
The final countdown to Stevie, Lindsey, John, Mick and the rest of the crew hitting the stage at Oracle Arena in Oakland. 24 hours in fact. Wondering who all is attending. I am excited to see Storms performed and I want to see Lindsey's take on Oh Well. I hope Silver Springs is added back to the set and that they are all in fine form.
I will be in section F (Floor Seats...YAY!!!) seats seats 1 through 5. Hope to meet some ledgies there. Evan aka Ernie "Chain keep us together..." |

Was thinking about flying down for this one, but I won't be making it. Have fun! I'll keep my fingers crossed that Stevie will be healthy and it will happen.

So glad this show wasnt postponed, but I hope that everyone is feeling well and is able to do the full set! I really want to hear "Silver Springs".
I am in section 105, row 13. I have 4 other friends on the floor. This will be my 3rd time seeing them at this particular venue. I am glad it's indoors because the weather is clear yet pretty cool. |

Pollstar, May 19, 2009
http://live.pollstar.com/blogs/news/...19/667740.aspx Fleetwood Mac, Counting Crows, Beyonce and Saliva changed their respective touring schedules this week, proving that no matter how hard you plan your tour, there’s always something planning to disrupt it. In Fleetwood Mac’s case that “something” has been illness. The band, which postponed a couple of dates last week, had to nix last night’s Sacramento gig, according to The Sacramento Bee. Once again some nasty bug is alleged to be the culprit. The band’s next scheduled gig is tomorrow night in Oakland, Calif., at the Oracle Arena. |

[When Stevie and Lindsey do "Tell Me Lies" it's even better than when Christine did it]
The Mac is Back, May 20, 2009, NBC (Bay Area) http://www.nbcbayarea.com/around_tow...c-is-Back.html Fleetwood Mac to play Oakland tonight By SAJID FAROOQ The landslide apparently couldn't bring Fleetwood Mac's first concert tour in five years down. The classic rockers will be in the Bay Area Wednesday night to play all their hits such as "Tell Me Lies" and new material. "We love our band and think the title of the tour "Unleashed" perfectly describes how we all feel when we get on stage together - especially in 2009," the band said in a statement. "We're so happy to get back out on the road, perform everyone's favorite songs and see our fans." The modern ensemble of the ever changing British rock band will play the Oracle Arena in Oakland at 8 p.m. and tickets are shockingly enough still available from Ticketmaster. The band said they expect to follow up the tour with a new album, which would be their first in five years. |

Just back from Oakland!
Ok, just a few thoughts on the show. It was a packed house! That was so good to see. "Silver Springs" made it back to the set. Stevie wore her red boots for a few songs, including a very good "Storms". I couldnt tell she had them on because the monitors were blocking my view.
All in all, it was an amazing performance. They were all in great spirits, and that always makes the show. They were giving it their all tonight. Stevie held notes, spun around a few times during Stand Back and even did a kick during one of the early songs. Sorry my memory is always fuzzy after a show. Lindsey brought the house down with "I'm So Afraid" but I enjoyed the softer vocals he did during "Never going back Again". Stevie dedicated Landslide to a good friend-sorry I forgot his name. Lots of smiles all around, you could tell they were glad to be in the Bay Area. Fantastic show! Joseph |
