Maybe alot has changed since opening night.Sometimes they seem so distant with each other. With this band ,everything can change in a day's time.

I just all-around love Chris's no BS attitude about the whole FM situation. She knows all the focus is on her this time around for FM but she takes it all in stride and quite humbly(as usual) and refuses to be a doormat or pupil to Stevie. If the tables were turned and Stevie was the one returning, she'd INSIST on being carried on stage on a bed of rosesChris is just a cool, classy chick

As for Christine saying that one of her conditions was that this time there would be no negativity or drama, I don't think that wish came true.

She added that she had one stipulation of her own for coming back. “I wanted it to be fun. That sounds like a hollow word, but, with this group, that is not a given. I didn’t want to go back into the Dark Ages and into the negativity and the gloom and the exhausting melodramas that have gone on in this band for years and years.”
So utterly revealing.

she now has a whistle to take care of lingering parts of that.

The comment about not being able to walk down the street without passing two people related to each other was hilarious.

I'm sure her neighbors would not be amused.

I laughed so hard when I read that. She sure knows how to embrace the community. And yet, all 3 Forum shows she talked about how she wished she still lived here.

I'm wondering if her dogs can't travel or are too old. I know she's had them for a long time. You can pretty much pay anyone to escort your dogs around. Hell I'll tour with them and walk and feed the dogs while she works.

Usually bringing animals into any country requires a period of quarantine often at some veterinary facility. It can be weeks depending on the laws of a country involved. This can be quite traumatic for the animals because they are out of their familiar environment and people who normally care for them.
She likely wanted to spare them especially if they are older and if she wants to go back to England with them and would have to go thru all that again to get them back into that country. Better leave them in the home they know with caregivers they trust.

That's a great point. I forgot about the international requirements regarding animals.

In case you missed it, you may want to go down to the Stevie section and read the interview in Rolling Stone. Christine was quoted.

Good lord, Chris has NEVER been a doormat to Stevie(I'm agreeing with you, lol). She might have reigned in "fronting" the band, so that she could make major bank, and kudos to her for doing so,

But I think Chris takes sh*t from no one.

I'll be interested after this long tour is over to see where she ends up. I don't think she will leave England for good, but I could see her quitting the big house in Kent, spending more time in London (ugh) and perhaps the rest elsewhere - maybe California? It just seems to me that it would be exhausting to go between the two at (by that time) 72.
