Default Update on MickFleetwood.com......No real news yet...

On Mickfleetwood.com the moderator has confirmed the album has been turned in and the tracklist is being created. There is no definitive album title yet, and that the moment there is, they will let us know...From the looks of it, they may start touring before the album comes out....

Lightbulb Thanks

Alex, thanks so much for the update. I've visited his site but I find it a little chaotic, not to mention the message board there crashes my browser every time I've tried to post, among other technical problems, so I've given up for now.
This tracklist info is very exciting. Have they ever done a tour before the release of an album?

Sure they have. Only going back to 1975, they toured (against the wishes of their record company) a couple of months before the "white album" was released.

For a long time, though, they'd tour so often that the tour for one album would blend into the next. Biggest example, between the white album & Rumours. They'd tour for a while, then take a break to record some, then head out on the road again...they'd slip a tune or two from the Rumours sessions into the set as a sneak preview. (the two main tunes of that were "Go Your Own Way", which they played as early as November 1975...and "You Make Loving Fun", which they played as early as May 1976)

Along these same lines,"Sisters of the Moon 'made its concert debut on a short stadium tour in the summer of 1978 .

I thought GYOW was written in 1976...I believe you, it just makes me question when Stevie and Lindsey really broke up!

The Arthurian medieval wannabe over there probably wasn't given permission to spill much more than that measly little tidbit, which in essence everyone already knew. But he assures us that "you'll hear it here [i.e., there] first!"

Talk about dangling a carrot! Notice how he also mentioned video of Mick in Hawaii? He's very cleverly drumming up more interest in the fan club (which appears to be taking as long to push out the door as the album is).

Thumbs up

Well, at least we can keep our hopes up to see a show this summer...even if the album is late.

Judging from the posts on other threads in this forum, I am not the only one who's worried about the record company screwing them over in one way or another (failing to give the album the promotion/credit/timely release it deserves). Sorry to sound so pessimistic. I'll shut up now.

Ahh, interesting, what browser are you using and what OS? My MAC has the same problem with my board.

Hi Neil,
You know I go there too and it is such a chore
to get any news! Can you do us a favor & put the
latest from F Mac on your easy to use web site?
Yours is great! Sky

PS...Tiffany...My Rumours album says copyright 1976
for GYOW...but maybe I don't know the inside track?

Yep, I have a mac and I use IE 5, I have OS 8.6. There are a few internet "forms" that crash my browser, I've noticed. I can't imagine why. They don't look that complicated. Neil, I've seen your board and it's kinda like Mick's, right? We may be on to something...

Some of the comps. I use at Uni. are Macs and they ALWAYS crash (or rather, crashed!) whenever I would try to view Mick's message board, so I don't bother anymore; I don't have a clue why that would happen, but there obviously seems to be a problem with Mac OSs.

Hey Sonia

I use OS 10.2.3 and IE 5.2, sometimes my board is OK on my Mac and sometimes it crashes. I will look into the YaBB site and see if anyone else is having the same problems.
