They're challenged in more than one way.

Desperate attempts to associate herself with Taylor Swift, a barbie doll in her image, a sultry acknowledgment of Lindsey with a single "yeah".

I'm tempted to use stronger words to describe all this, but it's just a bit sad.

Exactly. At some point, you just accept or don't accept people for the way they are. True colors of her were shown 2003 ish going forward. While I applaud her climb to superstar solo artist, I cringe at how it's changed her.

The "Bratz" doll line would have been more on brand for her.

Well after her comments about Fleetwood Mac, I guess we have answered the question. No there will not be any FM reunion. I do see Mick and Lindsey working together again though.

Ever since that Bob Dylan comment she’s been beyond obnoxious. Once her mother died she became completely insufferable. Tom was probably the last straw. Her parents, Petty, and Lindsey, were seemingly the only people who were able to tell her off and temper her worst attributes. The Nicks’ and Petty are gone and Lindsey was removed from her world once she proved that she could get Fleetwood Mac to stand alone without him as long as she was front and center. Now she doesn’t even need the Fleetwood Mac name - the band allowed her to become Fleetwood Mac and carry on with the endless regurgitating stale setlist tours without them.

That would be fun, particularly as they seem to have reconciled a little. If John has been part of that process too, maybe he could be persuaded to contribute to a track or two for a future Lindsey solo project, like he did with Down on Rodeo. Wasn't there talk of some sort of "Men of Mac" thing a few years ago? It's a bit late now, though, given all the smoke signals given out by John about calling it a day.

Mick 1990: “Halfway through the performance, he snapped.”

Mick 1990: “He started to kick Stevie while she was trying to salvage the number [“Rhiannon”].
Rolling Stone 1997: “He came over—might have kicked me, did something to me, and we stopped the show.”
2009: “After their team meeting, Fleetwood Mac did return to the stage.”
Carol Harris: “The whole show fell apart.”

Mick 1990: “It turned out they [the audience] either didn't notice it or thought his behavior was part of the act, or just a joke.”
Carol Harris: “The audience was stunned.”
2009: “Street Talk was the support act that night ... as Fleetwood Mac deteriorated in front of our eyes, I remember a chant starting up—‘Bring back Street Talk.’ ”

2009: “It was March 1980 in Wellington ... that night in Athletic Park” [March 20, 1980].
Mojo 2003: “Playing to 60,000 in Auckland, New Zealand” [March 22, 1980, in Western Springs Stadium].
2009: “Hammond [opening act Street Talk] said the gig that followed at Western Springs was a good concert but Wellington was most definitely ‘meltdown night.’ ”
Mick 1990: “In mid-March we flew off to New Zealand to play in front of sixty thousand fans in Auckland.”

Did this happen in Auckland or Wellington?
Did the audience notice or not?
Did it happen during “Rhiannon” or the end of the show before the encore?
Did Fleetwood Mac return to the stage or not?
Did Lindsey kick or not?
Did Lindsey throw guitar or not? Why does Stevie call it a black Les Paul, when Lindsey was playing a Turner on every song that Stevie was onstage for?
This is an impressive presentation, David! No joke. Quite entertaining and instructive.

Yes. Remember how "Gold Dust Woman" was reframed as a cautionary drug tale in the late 90s? But in original interviews from 1977, Stevie talked about it being a song about jealous women who were hostile to her and Chris but "all smiles" when the men walked in the room.

In the 90s, the cocaine allegory was sexier.

And then there is "Landslide." I knew Stevie lost her marbles when, in 2005, she said "Landslide" is about Katrina. I realize that now."
