Steal Your Heart Away at the Office Supply Store
Yesterday I was shopping at Staples (an office supply store, for those of you in other parts of the world), and what comes on the background music playing in the store?? Steal Your Heart Away! I was caught off guard and had trouble focusing on my shopping after that. It wasn't a radio station; it was just music they have playing in the store. It was a little disturbing, as though it cheapened the song for it be playing in that context. I mean, I'm glad to hear FM and glad it was NEW FM and not the same old same old, but still, it kind of bothered me to think of SYHA as that kind of song: one that gets played as background music in a store.

I love when that happens, like you don't even notice there's music being played at all and then - da da! A Mac song.
I heard SYW in Kohl's last week. I've heard SYHA in Bed, Bath & Beyond and the grocery store. |
