Those were wood statues carved by Robert Karr back in the day; he was friends w/ the band and did many carvings of them.

Robert had told me that he and John looked a little 'overpartied' in that photo LOL.

Thanks for writing. It's always nice to be reminded of those days!
Wierd- even when doing all that Mac work so long ago I was still into airplanes.......
The story on all this is that I had always liked Mac in its various versions going back to the Peter Green days. For that matter, pre-Mac when Green ( and John) were with John Mayall. Somehow, John seemed to epitomise every Brit rocker who was still slogging away ( this was before Rumours....the explosion hadn't happened yet.)
Anyway, I built the John model, complete with the infamous little penquin, sent it to John c/o WB records, and somehow he got it. That started the whole thing. Before it was over, I ended up making one complete set of the band for every member! Plus various of their friends and associates....Bob Welch, John Courage, supergirl-the late Judy Wong and I can't remember who all. There were also alternate one-off versions of Mick standing up playing the talking drum and one of John wearing cut off jeans and a Dodger baseball cap. I'm not sure how many figures I did all together. Sadly I don't have many pics of the work around. Most of what I have are ancient low quailty snap shots, and among these not all pieces are covered.
I don't know where that photo on the Mac forum came from! But- yes- there would be a matching Mick somewhere, complete with full and accurate drum kit( including gong....)
Again- thanks for writing and thanks for the mind-kick!
Robert

Its to bad he doesn;t have more pictures ,I would of loved to see them all..

a complete set on eBay in the not so distant past (Including Mick) that were formerly owned by Stevie...Would have been cool to own, But the $300 price tag was out of my spending range.

From what I remember about the description on eBay was that these figurines were made for each of the band members...Still a cool collectible to get yer grubby hands on.
