I chose option 1 but would also be happy with option 3. Also why couldn't the TV ads be included as a special feature in all of the options.

Thumbs up

Option 4 because it includes a non- Dance version of "Landslide", an "Over My Head" clip, some vintage FM, and an alternate version of "Silver Springs"(Wetten Das).

My only real disappointment is that all four options omit "Songbird" from the compilation.

It was close between Option 2 & 4, but I voted for 4 because of the rare Silver Springs version. Like the last post, I only wish Songbird had been included. I'll still be satisfied with whatever wins.

I voted for #2:

Why? "Oh Well" No Fleetwood Mac DVD should be without it.

DISCLAIMER: Just so you know what you're voting for, that "alternate version" of "Silver Springs" is not a live recording, its a bad lip-sync job from German television.

That's exactly why I suggested in the thread where we were all figuring out what to put on the dvd that we simply suggest a song list and let Ken Callait and whoever else is going to put this thing together to pick out the footage or videos. Surely they could have arranged something professional. I'm sure that's not the only performance or video that people don't know what they're voting for! Oh Well

I wish one had Rhiannon from Rosebud and GYOW from the Japan special. :-(
Nevertheless, any would be wonderful. I finally voted, but my head hurts from thinking about all of them. :-)

I find it a little hard to believe that Songbird didn't make any of these options. You'd think that song would almost HAVE to be there, considering its importance in the live shows.

Hi,
about the alternate of Silver Springs, I thought it I'd put a different version on there even though they are lip singing to The Dance version. But it was just a different performance that maybe not everyone has seen. Yeah I hate lip singing performances. But hey it's a different performance of Silver Springs!

And about Songbird, I did suggest putting Songbird at the end but I didn't know which version to pick. And it is pretty funny that none of them have Songbird. Maybe it'll go on the next one...if we even get to see the first DVD released!!!

Anyways any list will do as long as we get more Mac stuff on DVD!!!

Question

Hey Johnny Stew or Les can we change our votes????
Since I didn't realize that the alternate version of Silver Springs was a "poor" lyp-synch version, I'd like to switch my vote from option 4 to option 2...please! This is worse than butterfly ballots.

Hey Les,

I was just thinking since almost everyone wants Songbird to be on the list, whichever lists wins then maybe we should vote on or you can pick which version of Songbird they like best and add it on to the end of the DVD.

Anyways just a suggestion and a thought.
Well I must eat, I am starving!

I have been thinking the same thing for the last day as jwd. Both Option 2 & 4 were so close for me. The only reason that I went with 4 was because of Silver Springs. I had no idea that it wasn't a live performance. Also, the idea about Songbird is a good one. It's hard to believe a best of compilation wouldn't include any version of Songbird.

I don't understand why everyone wants 'Songbird' on this DVD. The way it stands now, Chris has most of the songs on three of the options. If everyone wants 'Songbird' added, then why not just replace 'Everywhere' with 'Songbird'.
I don't think 'Songbird' is the MOST important song FM ever did. A lot of people, not us on the Ledge, wouldn't even really know it.
Plus, it's on The Dance and the Mirage video if you want to see it.

Option 1 gets my vote.

Please note that I'm unable to use the poll format. I guess it has to do with my ISP. You'll have to manually add my vote to the final result.

#2 was immediately knocked off my list because it doesn't have "why". i had a tough time choosing between the other 3 though! i ended up choosing #3. but like everyone else, there is something i would change if i had the power.... replace "albatross" with "oh well"...... oh well.
