The others played their role..they had a choice to make between artistic integrity and $$$..It is no surprise really which one that they chose.

I still love this band and always will. I did not see this line up in concert on this tour but I would have considered it if they were promoting a new album. I would buy a new album by this lineup for sure. I will continue to support Lindsey’s solo work and pray that he recovers from his surgery. It sucks what went down but this band is the soundtrack of my life and “ I Can’t Go Back”. 😎

I would not defend anyone in this matter, I just really do not care about the firing and the whudunits.

No defending her? Are you serious? Can you not think of a single other workplace (and a band IS a workplace/work group) where someone was fired because they didn't get along with someone else?

Can you think of one other workplace where two people who hated each other continued to work together in high pressure jobs for 43 years?

She got him fired for smirking. He made her a star. He made them all stars. She slept her way through musicians and producers to get where she is at. She used people like Lindsey to get ahead. Tom Petty and Prince are dead and now she is using them to propel herself forward. She should be gracious and thankful. Instead, she acts like she is in an episode of Game of Thrones.

You're a cynical ol' chap.
She's honouring Tom Petty and Prince and paying her respects. Now of course I'm saying that to defend ol' goat, not because it is just common sense.

Why is this in the Stevie Nicks forum? She wasn't interviewed in the Mojo article?

I agree 100%. But a few people here think FM owe them something, and should do things solely to make them happy. I know in my career I've been frustrated with co-workers and was happy when they either left or were fired. You and I get that, but some people here will never understand that.

Probably the same reason why the rare non positive review of the present band keeps being posted in the Rumours forum. Oh well, if they have this much time to obsess over a band line up change rather than needing to worry about kids, health issues, mortgages, aging parents, work issues etc., they must have pretty good lives.

It's interesting that the CBS interview was all a lie and from the Mojo article we finally get closer to the truth from Chris and Mick that Stevie was indeed the instigator.

I would say that is why it is in the Stevie forum.

And she, in turn, made him filthy rich. But I'd argue it was her persona that appealed to so many, and he didn't have anything to do with that. She did make him far more wealthy than if she hadn't been in the band though.

Hey Feather Blade, good to see you posting! I know what you mean, I have other things going on in my life so I can't muster any anger over this situation. Certainly not almost a year later. If other people can't or won't move on, to each their own.

Oh hello, nice to see you too! You hadn't been around much of late and I had wondered if you had thrown up your hands and moved on to a Fleetwood Mac forum less monopolized by the grumps. So many folks have. I'm glad you are still here.

Maybe as a teenager, all this would upset me. But me being a 52 year old man, Stevie Nicks firing Lindsey Buckingham from Fleetwood Mac isn't on my radar of primary concerns.
I am still a huge fan of the music.
I don't know the band members personally.
I don't look at them as an extended family.
I have plenty of my own things to truly give my primary focus to.
