It's starting already! The 1000+ poster-5-star-Mick-worshippers are totally jumping down anybody's throats for saying ANYTHING about any band members that is less than complimentary. I was there for like 60 seconds , and I saw one of them scolding someone with something like, "that's not nice. Let's all just be nice" (aaaaaagggh!) and another similar comment about something that must have been deleted because I couldn't see what it was referring to!
K, I'm not taking any more peeks. It's just too scary now. I don't even think it's that funny anymore. Just sad

I agree that it's great to be *nice*....It's just that, over there, you can't even state your *opinion*. You can't say you don't like something, even if you say it in the nicest way possible. I mean, I don't like it when I see posts or threads *anywhere* that involve posters calling each other names and just being downright mean, rude, and disrespectful. But the few times that I've been over there, I've read some of the posts from people trying to say that they don't particularly care for a certain song or whatever and another poster comes right back and tells them they aren't fans...that maybe they shouldn't be posting on Mick's board if they don't like him/them....blah blah blah. It's just so plastic.

And you're right Sonia, it IS sad. I just can't help but laugh though at how some of them come across.


Can you imagine if we were to start one of the album polls over there like the one for TISL on the Stevie board here? My gawd, they'd have a heart attack. Maybe we should do that for the Mojo cd when/if Mick sends it out.

I have to say i peek over there now and then...and the only thing that i have gotten flamed for is not wanting to being a "loyal" fan and pay 1,100 to meet the Mac...I don't think i've pissed anyone off in any other respect..but it IS crazy..like a damn barbecue..people getting flamed left and right...but...there ARE some nice people over there...and i don't mind having convos with them...if you can avoid Mick's drum toting gestapo it is not that bad,lol.

Yep it's a sad state of affairs over there isn't it. I just posted my thoughts, but it will probably be deleated.
I see they have the virtual tour up and running, only of course the rich and cult followers can only afford. Since they are the only real and true fans.

Hey, I'm in the fan club, and I'm not a cult follower or rich!! LOL I know what you mean tho. I haven't been over to mickfleetwood.com but like...once, so I don't know what's going on over there, but from what ya'll say..it's not a fun place, like say....here. So, I'll steer clear.

"nice this, a-hole." seriously.. they only have like, a one-sided view of nice. how "nice" is it for a multi-millionaire to, basically, cheat/lie, or rather, falsely advertise the goods to the less-fortunate middle or lower class people out of their hard earned money for something that he puts no effort into ANYWAY. i wish i could get freakin.. 1100 for meeting people. anyway. "nice" would be if this "fleetwood-mac-is-my-life!!!" attitude, you know, the one displayed on the FM Behind the Music, was actually how the man operated. Instead of enjoying this great FM phenomenon, it's being milked like a fat, pregnant cash cow.. and its fans are, IMO, trying to be played for fools.

Good thing most of us aren't fools.
