Unhappy Shredding the Sisters of the Moon prints

NEEDED : 400 Stevie Nicks and Fleetwood Mac fans willing to part with £40.00/$60.00

OK folks......Debby Faulkner-Stevens and I have set a date for the shredding of the SOTM prints.....May 2005!!

We have nothing to lose by shredding them, no one wants the money so they have to go....just to remind you that about $30,000 worth of prints will be destroyed. If you know of anyone who might want to make a charitable donation to the Robin Anderson Memorial fund they can purchase one by following this link :
http://www.faulkner-stevensart.com/S...the%20Moon.htm

Love Louise

Default Well.....

we have been banging our heads against lots of brick walls.....

we get no support from any of the factors who were involved with the project from the beginning.

It has also been alluded to that we stand to make a lot of money from this project so to prove that we don't it is better to destroy the edition. It owes nothing to any one....print costs etc have been paid for and Stevie is in possession of the original art.

So we don't hit the donation target....at least we have been able to donate $2000.....

..can't you put then up on Ebay?
At least that way, people who may not be total SN fans would still get a chance to buy them..worth a shot surely.

Ebay has been tried and tested and we managed to sell four prints in two years.......in the end it started to cost money for each print put up that wasn't selling.....

OK...that one went out the window pretty quick..haha..
Hmmm...what about somehow asking the Mac to make them available at their up and coming concerts in the US, all proceeds to Robins Fund?

I approached a guy called Rick Fish of Signatures Network (he's head of merchandising) who handle all the Mac's merchandising. Their reasoning for not taking this print on board is because it would be seen as promoting one band member above another....???????

They wouldn't even consider placing some information about the project on the merch stands.... GRRRRR.

Stevie's people still haven't come back to me with an answer (after two years of asking) about Stevie signing ten of the prints to raise extra dollars....and I spoke to Sheryl Louis in person in London.....on November 30th 2003, still no answer.

One other thing, Stevie has been consulted about this project all along....she gave her consent to the use of the SOTM lyric......so is fully aware of the whole thing.

Right well then...thats that..... apart from standing OUTSIDE various Mac venues and trying to sell them or at least make people aware of them...I don't know what you can do!Just seems sad to have to get rid of them!
Maybe someone else can think of something, it's too early in the morning for me at this point! Good luck though

Is dropping the price an option Louise?

Default Shredding the Sisters of the Moon prints

Is what you're shredding part of the 500 limited-edition lithographs that didn't sell? Or is what you're shredding over and above what you've sold?

LOS ANGELES – Singer/songwriter Stevie Nicks, whose haunting voice and mystical lyrics have captivated fans for more than 30 years, is spreading hope for leukemia research with the release of 500 limited-edition lithographs. Inspired by Nicks’ 1979 song, “Sisters of the Moon” and designed by British artist Debby Faulkner-Stevens, the exclusive prints will raise money for the Robin Anderson Memorial Fund at the world-renowned City of Hope Cancer Center. Founded by Nicks, the Fund honors Nicks’ lifelong friend, Robin Anderson, who passed away from leukemia in 1982.

Right on the money MacMan........it is 400 of the Ltd Ed. prints that haven't sold....we sold about 100 prints of the Ltd Edition. So only 1/5th of the edition has sold in 2 years.
