It's interesting to think of the band members ages in certain contexts. For instance, Stevie is nearly 7 years older than Angela Lansbury was when Murder, She Wrote first aired. She's also 3 years older than Bea Arthur, Estelle Getty, and Betty White were when Golden Girls debuted.

Angela Lansbury was playing a matron when she was only 29 years old. She's always looked older than she is.

But I agree with you. That's why I chided SnL for intimating that George Burns and Gracie Allen are too old to be compared to them. They were younger than Stevie and Lindsey when they had their tv show.

God, you remember George Burns and Gracie Allen show? Remember, one of TV running gag involved a closet full of hats belonging to various visitors to the George Burns household; guests would slip out the door unnoticed, leaving their hats behind, rather than face another round with Gracie. At the end of the show George would look into the camera and say to Gracie "Say goodnight Gracie".

I still regularly watch the George Burns and Gracie Allen show.

Actually, last night I was just going to complain to a friend of mine who gave me a birthday present that had a Ozzie and Harriet story in it that maddened me. I hate when people reference Ozzie and Harriet and have never seen it. This magazine said that Harriet played a "ditzy, but loving mom." Harriet was never ditzy. If you have no idea what Ozzie and Harriet was about, don't talk about it.

Of course, these days I guess I should have that complaint about the Brady Bunch. Time marches on.

I'm only 39.Thats what Jack Benny always said.LOL........

Figure out the total years of experience in music combined.

since they all started young .It should not be much from 333.

I love watching those classic shows.
