Sorry for the threadsurrection, but Rocky died Friday.

He apparently developed some kind of respiratory infection, and I caught it too late for antibiotics to be of any help. Birds are funny that way - they hide illness at all cost, for fear of being ostracized from "the flock," which is what would happen in the wild. And I've been assured it wasn't bird flu, thank goodness, so my lovebird Zorro should be fine.

I just wanted to honor Rocky in some small way, and there's no way more fitting than this thread. If only you all could have seen how happy he was to finally be allowed to stomp and dance all over my keyboard (after being told "NO!" so many times), you just wouldn't stop laughing.

I just re-read this thread, and am finally laughing again after a very tough couple of days. I hope you'll do the same, then go give your pet(s) extra hugs, kisses, and treats tonight.

I'm so sorry to hear that Rocky has died...I know he provided a lot of entertainment for us here and most certainly to you too. Losing a pet really sucks.

Oh, Chuck. I am so very sorry. It is hard when birds get sick. I know.
Rocky was a special bird. He sure gave me some joy and I never even really got to meet him.
