I saw this on one of the CM Facebook pages today, but the audio wasn't working on it.

I'm so nervous about going to this auction next month. I'm going to set a dollar limit of 1k in my head, but who knows if I'll get anything. I'm not sure if this is an auction like we've seen on TV, or I'm submitting a written bid, or what? Anyone know for sure?

EDIT- I don't mean to imply that I have a grand to just throw away, but I'm afraid I might get carried away, being surrounded by the belongings of the heroine of my lifetime. So I'm giving myself a hard "don't get carried away, dumbass" limit.

Thanks for posting. Remember a thread here a few years ago in an old article from around 1980 where Chris mentions a younger sister. We never heard her talk about her again. He does confirm they have a younger sister.
Another thing he said validates what Chris said a few times about writing songs. She would write things on scraps of paper when something came to her and then finish it later when she got that feeling again. She had scraps of paper all over the house. She was not someone that sat down and felt the need to write a song. When lyrics came to her she would write them down for future use.
Her stuff just seems too nice to sell. But I realize it all needs to find a home. Life goes on.
I plan on bidding on some stuff online but I don't expect to win. A small part of me wants me to not win because unconsciously I don't think I am worthy.

Forgive me. He calls her a younger sister. With his accent when I first listened at 5 am I thought he was talking about himself and another younger sister.

I love that the song Future Games plays as it fades out. Just wow, I dont know why but that really fit that clip. You would think they would use one of her songs but it really works here.

This is what happened to me at the last auction. I had a limit that was in retrospect higher than was wise to begin with, and then went almost 50% over that when someone was bidding head-to-head with me over the item I wanted. In the end I spent in the higher 4-figures, way more than I had ever intended. When I won I was like......holy sh&t.....what have I just done?? (I was bidding online, have no idea if the other bidders were in person or also online or what...)

Glad some of you all are going. I like the picture of her that John has in the background here.

I wonder what show it is (looks professional) at 1:11.

Sweet. I'll bet that cost a bunch to get shipped.

I could wheel it home from this upcoming auction! I'm like 6 blocks away.

In my fantasy, I want her organ.

Yes, the Hammond, not internal.

Looks like they were going to play "Get like you used to be" in 2018 per this set list. That never happened, did it?

I don't think Christine would've been able. Brett would've had to have played it.

Watching the videos of that tour, I was always thinking that so much of the heavy lifting was being done by Ricky Petersen (Brett was booted for this tour). That and the noticeable fragility of Christine both vocally and physically) worried me then. She seemed to be doing most of the work on Don't Stop, though as I recall. The only really good things about that tour were the deepish to subterranean cuts that got a final airing under the Mac banner.

Looking through that auction catalogue is quite heartbreaking.

That's right. Brett was openly neutral in the Stevie vs Lindsey feud and Stevie had him axed from the tour.
They practiced many older Mac tunes for the 2018. But only Hypnotized, Black Magic Woman, and a Danny Kirwan song made it for a few nights. Black Magic Woman stayed in the set the entire tour because Stevie sang it of course.
Chris was not playing much on the 2017 Buck/Vie tour but by 2018 it may have been less.
I love that she kept going. She really seemed to enjoy touring again. She had some frogs in her voice many nights and was playing less but she kept going and soaking it all up.
