I was there both nights. What I remember most about it was the monumental audience roar when Chris sang her verse and when she did her piano solo. It was just a great cathartic moment, and she did, unwittingly steal the show- everyone thought "we've got her back, even it is just for these precious few moments". There was even an awkward moment or two on the 27th when part of the crowd chanted "we want Christine!" right before World Turning. I don't know if that happened anywhere else on the tour.

Having said all that, I'm optimistic about her recording, and even touring with them again. But all thoughts right now are really for Mr Mac. Nothing else really matters.

I remember the chants on the 27th!

You're right, it was hugely cathartic.

Being uncertain the first night of when she would appear, I was on pins and needles for the whole second half of the show, but realizing how things would work the second night, my expectations were more focused. I found World Turning the most interminable, stultifying song in the world. I just wanted to Fast Forward to the good stuff.

Yes, Christine said that her mother took a wart off of her nose and also did something for a neighbor I think, but I don't remember what. But she said her brother had healing powers too, much stronger than her own, inherited from her mother. The thing is, if it's real or not doesn't matter. If you believe in it, it can't hurt.

Thanks for reminding me about Christine's description of her Mum. I've always thought that in some ways, Stevie reminded Chris of her Mum.

If I was there, I would've joined the chanting.
