It does seem highly unlikely that she isn't the subject of at least a couple of his songs. The real question is which ones? 'Victim of Love' seems to fit, too. And maybe 'Miss Ghost'?

I don't know: "He had a nasty reputation as a cruel dude/ said he was ruthless, said he was crude." And "she held him up and he held her for ransom"... etc. Those lyrics just don't seem to fit Lindsey at all But then again, I don't know him, do I ?

I don't think the ransom bit is meant to be literal at all.

But, as for the other parts... well, if you take into account the allegations of how Lindsey has supposedly treated some of the women he has been with in the past, then it makes sense. I love the guy and mean no harm, that's just always where I've drawn the connection from.

Also, I've seen it suggested that Hotel California was partially inspired by her (I guess the 'she' parts), or her house or something don't know if that was just speculation or where that came from exactly. And I know next to nothing about the Eagles, I just read this somewhere haha.

Then there are those songs with her name in the title that I can't think of right now.
Hah, I have never heard anything about Hotel California being about Stevie before... that song is a huge mystery to me...I've heard it is about their careers.

From an AV Club article on Calexico:

By Eric Swedlund@EricSwedlund Jun 23, 2015 •12:00 AM

http://www.avclub.com/article/calexi...ony-fea-220917

Along with “Across The Wire” and “Sunken Waltz,” “Not Even Stevie Nicks” remains a live favorite, a bittersweet folk-pop hybrid that plays on the image of a priestess, with Burns’ falsetto singing a tale of seduction, inevitability and the power of music to hold people in its grasp, at least for a little while.

I learned so much from this thread. No wonder Life in the Fast Lane is my favorite Eagles song.

I can agree with Victim of Love about Stevie (maybe?) but I think that 'Not Enough Love in The World' is about Maren Jensen whom Don almost got married to in the 80's , 'Stand' not sure about that one either. Anyway, just my 2 cents thats all.

I wrote a song about Fleetwood Mac and the Beatles. I don't know if that counts though since I'm not famous
