[from an article about Jesse Camp] Esquire by Nathan Rabin June 8, 2015

http://www.esquire.com/entertainment...concert-recap/

Camp's debut album, Jesse & The 8th Street Kidz, represented his big chance at stardom. There's an unmistakable rock star fantasy camp vibe to the album, as the modestly talented, vocally-challenged but undeniably charismatic newcomer duets with Stevie Nicks, collaborates with Cheap Trick's Rick Nielsen and fronts a band that includes veterans of Camp's favorite groups, including Hanoi Rocks. The question isn't why the album didn't succeed but rather why anyone thought it would in the first place. Camp was peddling a discredited form of music a decade past its heyday via a network that by that point was more famous for not playing music videos than for championing and popularizing the medium.

Kerrang April 22, 2015

Dave Krohl's 10 Best Collaborations

http://www.kerrang.com/16252/dave-gr...ollaborations/

8. Stevie Nicks

So, that Sound City movie Dave made. It was good stuff, learning all about the killer records made in that studio, on that Neve mixing console. The same place, in fact, where Nirvana recorded Nevermind. But, as is the Grohl way, he turned it into an excuse to have some of his mates over and play some music, and this fabulous slow-burner with Fleetwood Mac chanteuse Stevie Nicks is probably the best thing on the resulting Sound City Players album. You can see them on the movie being all coy around her too, bless.

[From an article about Chase Bryant]

Digital Journal By Markos Papadatos

http://www.digitaljournal.com/a-and-...article/435669

Bryant revealed that his new studio album is nearly done, and he is waiting on the artwork for it. "As soon as I can get back in town, and have some time off, we will hopefully put it out," he said.

He listed Shania Twain, Kelsea Ballerini and Stevie Nicks (from Fleetwood Mac) as his dream female duet choices in the music industry.

[Foodepedia Article on Courvoisier]

http://www.foodepedia.co.uk/articles...ourvoisier.htm

It was glasses of Courvoisier that were raised at the inauguration dinner of the Eiffel Tower, it was the favoured tipple of Napoleon Bonaparte, it has partnered with the likes of Vivienne Westwood and Erté, been awarded the Prestige de la France, made a splash in the music world with Busta Rhymes and favoured as an 'excellent singing potion' by Fleetwood Mac’s Stevie Nicks.

Yahoo, by Kimberly Potts

https://www.yahoo.com/tv/laverne-shi...695390055.html

[From an article about the 25 things you never knew about Laverne and Shirley]

18. Shirley Feeney’s beloved Boo Boo Kitty became an inanimate series regular when Williams pulled the stuffed animal prop out from under a bed during rehearsal one day. Laverne and Shirley were spring cleaning, and while Shirley was supposed to find dust bunnies under the bed, she found a black, stuffed animal cat, instead. She improvised and called it Boo Boo Kitty, in honor of one of her mom’s real cats. Because there was only one of the props — the propmaster couldn’t find a duplicate — it had to be locked up after every show for safekeeping, but Williams writes in Shirley, I Jest! that, years later, the propmaster gave Boo Boo Kitty to her. The toy cat also had its own celebrity fan. Williams writes that when she met Stevie Nicks backstage at a Bruce Springsteen concert, Nicks greeted her with, “Oh, hi! It’s you. I love Boo Boo Kitty!”

From an article about Kathryn Joseph

Written by: Rebecca Monks and Kirstyn Smith

https://www.list.co.uk/article/71758...he-year-award/

Joseph’s win is significant, as the singer/songwriter is the first female to win the award. Speaking on her own female influences, she said: 'I saw Fleetwood Mac last night, so Stevie Nicks. I'm in a tricky age for being part of this, and yet last night I saw people who are – are they in their 60s? And it's proof that it doesn't matter what age you are. And I need to remember that because I do feel awkward about it, but last night was proof that it's not about being young or old or male or female – if it affects you it affects you.'

Top 10 Blondie Songs
By Michael Gallucci

2
'Call Me'
From: 'American Gigolo' (1980)

Superstar disco producer Giorgio Moroder originally wanted Stevie Nicks to help write and record the theme song from the grimy male-prostitute movie 'American Gigolo.' Luckily, Debbie Harry and Blondie stepped in (Nicks was busy preparing her debut solo album) and checked out with the biggest hit of their career: "Call Me" stayed at No. 1 for six weeks. It came out just as disco was retreating back to the dance clubs. Blondie's New Wave spin on the genre was just what it needed.

[From an article about Sam Palladio and Nashville] by Catriona Wightman 7/1/2015 Digital Spy

http://www.digitalspy.com/music/inte...phqKkc2BLZMona

Are there any other cameos you're hoping for?

"I think Kacey Musgraves is fantastic and her new album's great. She'd be a cool little addition to the show – give Hayden the runaround a bit. And I guess Gunnar needs a new girlfriend… That would be fine with me!

"Guy-wise, I think Hunter Hayes is great. I love him. He's a really lovely guy and a great musician. There's just scope for all kinds of cameos. We went to see Fleetwood Mac and Stevie Nicks is a massive Nashville fan. She met Lennon and Maisy Stella backstage and she was nervous, she was freaking out, because she loves Nashville so much. You never know who's watching!"

[From an article about Sandra Bullock and Minions. Ha I remember Sandra Bullock coming out to greet FM after their performance on Leno in 2003]

http://www.ifreepress.com/entertainm...der-the-hammer

Written by: iFreePress

Up until now, we know the Minions as the small helpers to the despicable Gru. They travel from frigid Antarctica to 1960s New York City, ending in mod London, where they must face their biggest challenge to date: saving all of Minion kind from annihilation. “I hadn’t even thought of that until you brought that up”, she said, when reminded how many times she said her son made her watch Despicable Me. “She is really enjoying playing with this villainy”.

When asked over Twitter which song had inspired her, she replied: “Two: Sara by Fleetwood Mac and Hello Like Before by Bill Withers”.

[From an article on the Eagles and the 7 women behind their lyrics]

http://www.greenvilleonline.com/stor...rics/29637375/

Donna Isbell Walker, diwalker@greenvillenews.com 12:07 a.m. EDT July 4, 2015

The Eagles’ 1972 hit “Take It Easy” opens with a guy singing about “seven women on my mind.”

The lyrics never specify their identities, just the narrator’s issues with women who want to own him, stone him or be his friend. We may never know the names of those mysterious femme fatales, but the Eagles, who play the Bon Secours Wellness Arena on July 12, have attracted plenty of other women to their orbit over the decades.

Here are seven other women who’ve been important to the band members through the years:

•3. Stevie Nicks. Fleetwood Mac’s songbird romanced two members of the Eagles, Henley and guitarist Joe Walsh. Nicks’ tumultuous time with Henley inspired the Nicks-penned Fleetwood Mac song “Sara.” And while Henley and Nicks may not have been a love match, their vocal harmonies soar in their duet “Leather and Lace.”

[from the obituary of Fred Slatten] 21 Jul 2015 . Written by Tony Castro,

Los Angeles City Watch

http://www.citywatchla.com/lead-stor...nica-boulevard

Slatten also had a special armoire in his store that was filled with nothing but platform shoes and boots made especially for singer Stevie Nicks.

“When Stevie needed a new pair, she would call Fred, and he’d have them sent overnight to her no matter where she was in the world,” recalled Becky Cash, who was like an adopted daughter to Slatten and the longtime manager of his store.

I stole this from Johnny Stew's Facebook page. What are the odds of using an obscure Street Angel song to reference rain when "thunder only happens when it's raining" is ingrained in the minds of virtually everyone in America?

http://www.sltrib.com/home/2756260-1...casionally-wet

Singing about Utah's warm, wet and thunderous midweek forecast, Stevie Nicks might huskily tempt you to "open up the window ... throw away the pain [and] take time, baby, to listen to the rain."

Along the Wasatch Front, Wednesday's forecast called for highs near 90 degrees will be broken in the afternoon and evening by showers and occasional cracks of electricity. Thursday's weather will again seek highs near 90, with another cycle of thunderstorms expected during the afternoon hours.

Southern Utahns get a break from the rain and thunderclaps, though. Breezes of 10-20 mph will cool off Redrocks denizens from the mid-90s as the end of this Pioneer Day-shortened work week approaches. Why not find some shade, a cool drink and enjoy the "Desert Wind" via the instrumental poetry of French bluesman Scott Bis.

The Utah Division of Air Quality rated Salt Lake, Davis, Weber and Utah counties "yellow," or compromised for air quality heading toward the weekend, but the rest of the state earns "green," or healthy grades.

The Intermountain Allergy & Asthma website reported that chenopods were "high" and mold "moderate" on its pollen index, but other allergens were listed "low" as of Wednesday.

For for extensive forecast information, visit the Tribune's weather page at: http://sltrib.com/weather/.
