Default UTS USA chart position??

Early predictions are showing it isnt going to be top 50

See this thread for some interesting (ish) stats! he was there after 4.35% of the sales had been collated with just over 1000 sales but then on the next update disapeared!!

I'm not at all surprised. It hasn't been promoted that much, aside from a few interviews & reviews I've seen. This is obviously an album for Lindsey himself & his fans, not the general public.

^^

Right...I'm not at all surprised either...I mean especially with today's music landscape, the lack of promotion etc...

I think it's a great album, fans think it's a great album, but really I wasn't expecting this huge mainstream success to stream from it

Exclamation Ditto...

not surprised about the sales of UTS.

If I wasnt a fan, I would never have even known the album was out since I havent seen it in any of the stores in this area.

And I think Lindsey's OK with that. It seems to me that he didn't want to pour all kinds of time & money into promotion to a general mainstream public that probably wouldn't buy anyway. He's finally smartened up in my book. He's making himself & the fans happy - and that's who really matters. He's had commercial success before, it's not necessary anymore. Don't ge me wrong, everyone loves to be successful & popular. But maybe he's at a point in his life where personal, artistic & emotional success are most important to him.

Let's see if the sales of it goes up later, after the tour's been going for a while and especially after his appearance on CMT's Crossroads...I think we'll see a little bump in sales after that. Plus, around the holidays I think we'll see some action with sales, too.

But, with Tower Records closing its doors, that's going to hurt. (I'm still bummed about THAT!)

I'm not one bit shocked. My ex-roomie Mr Bill in orlando said on Tues morning he only sold 1 copy of UTS. Plus there were no posters...no flats...no promotional material of any kind. Of course there's the tour...but I think only the fans are really aware of it. I don't think Lindsey is bothered by that too much.

Brandon, I spoke to my friend at Warners yesterday, and UTS has been pushed back to October 23 here, so hopefully we will see it in stores soon...

Lucky you! I am dying for it - so typical of Warners to push it back

yeah that stinks. still no word from LB.com on a show here. I emailed Taku about it and he was keen but said it didnt seem likely he'd just do one show here, that he'd have to do australia also.

Mmm, Im sure an Australian date could be arranged, so it would be great if Linds could come here. I know of a hand full of people who would love to see him live...

yeah I think he'd be paying out of pocket to fly here and back unless he could cut a deal with the venues. SURELY he'd bring in some money. OZ and NZ are lacking in shows to the point that its painful so I think people would come see him just to go to a show, even if they werent fans.
