Default Stevie and Landslide on VH1s True Spin...

It's currently airing tonight although it wasn't supposed to until mid August. I don't know when they'll replay the show but I just wanted to let you all know that it's on as I type and there will be an interview with Stevie about the meaning behind Landslide. Hope you all get to catch it!

I saw it. It was OK. I'm pretty sure the Stevie interview was a new interview. It's always good to have something Mac related on but this as expected was no big deal, but I liked it.

Just saw it. It was really nicely done. Although, I don't agree with them about being the song that foreshadows all her others. She looked beautiful as always.

The one pic of her kneeling down/head down in the studio with the headphones on....I don't think I've ever seen that photo before.

it was a nice snippit...not TOO short...saw some good pics I hadn't seen before.

The Stevie interview was an excerpt from the most recent VH1 session she did with them, right before this tour began in may of 2004...had a couple of Lindsey excerpts from his Behind the Music....interesting way to look at Landslide, the way she explained it...about how maybe the "landslide" would really just bring her and lindsey down as well as the music thing... and she decided when she wrote it to give lindsey and music one more chance

I was pleasantly surprised, it was much better than I thought it would be since she went a little deeper than the usual "I wrote it in Aspen looking at the mountains, etc."

There were a few pics I don't recall seeing, which I loved. And where is the old B&W live stage footage from? I'm dying to know - it's definitely NOT Largo 75, but it appears to be the same era.

PS - just saw that Tracy posted the show for download. It's up on Burnish for those who missed it!

Default True Spin/Storytellers

I'm glad they featured the performance of Landslide from Storytellers, rather than The Dance. It was a much better vocal (though Lindsey's guitarwork is far superior to Frank Simes' rendition). Too bad VH1 never commercially released the full Storytellers concert on CD. I think the intimate setting allowed Stevie to have more control of her voice and to sing her midtempo songs and ballads with more "softness" and care. That quality is often lost at the big house performances, where she's often competing against her band and the venue elements.

According to VH1's site: it reruns today at 11:30 AM and 5:30 PM ET; Sunday, August 1 at 11:30 AM and 3:30 PM ET; Tuesday, August 3 at 11:30 PM ET.

You can see it on burnish too!

i thought it was awesome, tho i wish it was longer, but @ least it was more than just a snippet, my goddess, stevie looked gorgeous as always & it was gr8 2 hear here candidness on this song & how it really has a deeper meaning~ i love how her music, all songs has a deeper meaning than the artists of 2day who just mull over which songwriter's music 2 sing~ i like how she can take a story or her poetry & turn it in2 this amazing tune, that means a different thing 2 ea 1 that loves her, but means just as much 2 them as it does 2 her~ she has that affect on people, a real connection!!!~
2 me she is just amazing!!!~ i love u stevie!!!~

brightest stevie blessings~

I was about to post about this.

It's great. I really enjoyed it. I love that they gave her credit because I was starting to believe the Dixie Chicks wrote it...errrr...

I am still mad that they didn't thank Stevie up there when they won that Grammy....really really mad.
