I haven’t seen a rock or pop concert in a movie theater since I saw Jonathan Demme’s film of a Neil Young concert in Nashville about ten years ago (beautiful movie it was, too, with a closing scene that seemed to summarize not only Neil Young’s body of music but his personality). The movie was good at giving you glimpses into the performer and his work that you wouldn’t have had merely by being at the show. That’s what a good concert film can do: The Last Waltz, The Song Remains the Same, Monterey Pop, Stop Making Sense, Rolling Thunder Revue, Rattle and Hum, Soul Power, and I’ve heard that Springsteen’s Broadway movie does the same thing. Is this Stevie thing interesting in a cinematic way? Or is it just a long-form MTV-ish video with fast and choppy cutting and TV camera setups? Does it have anything to make the film itself memorable twenty years from now to movie lovers? Or is it just a Stevie Nicks fan memento?

Cinematically, the only cool thing is Gold Dust Woman crack head. They have drone view shots and perspectives from the front or first few rows which are nice but it's not a concert film like Shine a Light
It's a good concert but it's a concert. If you saw the tour or didn't see the tour, you'll like it. But it's kind of like a one time watch. The only impressive costume is the Moonlight one. |

That's still a decent box office gross though. Especially when you look at the current climate of the box office ever since movie theaters reopened. I'm just bummed I have to wait to purchase it! I'm not paying $19.95 to rent it for 48 hours. I paid $15 to see it at the cinema. I'll wait and buy the DVD. I'd buy a digital copy on Vudu as well, as I have a decent library in my digital locker there.

The album is not doing good as a new release. Especially with all the promotion. It’s only #16. Blah. It won’t sell 100,000k.

When Stevie name dropped Princes name right before Moonlight, it almost ruined the song for me. I really am tired of her snobbery. She’s a fake snob. Harry Styles give me a break.

It's also only being sold at Target stores. It sold out preorders.

Itunes sells you a CD with liner notes? Is that true?

I just finished listening to the cd, I think it’s actually quite good. I missed the live show and I’m happy to have this for my collection.

Possibly not in the normal fashion?
