Now back to Lindsey. You know, I forgot to mention the gum chewing. Is that new? Man, that was kind of distracting.

The funny thing is since Sunday night, I've been noticing that my legs are rarely ever still when I'm at the computer. Aaaah... I got Lindsey disease! Now, if that would only spread to my guitar-playing fingers...
very funny, Carne!

Well on Lindsey: he sounds relaxed on the WONDERFUL tusk-reels-demo's #1,#2,#3,#4 on bluewhitefire.com

I just listened to them and his singing brought me to tears.....

he's humming and singing the most beautiful melodylines, that I've never heard again on any of his songs. The basic track that you hear him rewind and stop and use as backbone sounds like walk a thin line mostly.

And Carne, these demo's are so raw, that you'll immediately think: that's possible to make myself!!!!

Fantastic, daniel, that you posted these...I've never heard them and they're a fabulous peek into lindsey's way of "song-painting".

I even forgot his nervy behaviour...

Yep, Lindsey's definitely a twitcher. As one who rarely isn't tapping my foot, I can relate, but he's got it worse.

I'm reminded of one of the concert reviews for Lindsey's solo tour:

"Throughout the show, Mr. Buckingham played the perhaps-not-all-together-normal artist, grimacing and jerking behind his guitar as he sang, animatedly waving a hand or moving around in spastic, mechanical bursts."

I think he's got a bit of that in every day life too. Hehe.

Must go have a listen. This could be just the ticket to get my mind off the annoying people I've had to deal with today...

Unhappy Well...

I hate to bring up a subject I know ZIP about...but what about his epilepsy? Could that have anything to do with his nervousness?

Good question, Christy. It could. I've known epileptics, but I can't recall if they were particularly fidgety.

This is probably more related to Lindsey's Type A tendencies than anything.

Yes you do, Christy.

Christy = Nancy (Buckingham Nicks president) = Jori

You are very cruel.

Hmm, never thought about that, Christy. That is symptomatic of those who suffer from complex partial seizures. However, in those cases, the fidgeting is usually out of context, purposeless, and uncontrollable, so Lindsey trying to get comfortable or smacking gum wouldn't count. Maybe other instances would though. Who knows?

what have you been drinkin'?
sorry but what looks like an interesting, or at least funny thread is constantly disturbed by topics I don't understand. As a depressive hysteric type, I feel that the neurotic schizotypes are taking over (hey, there's a lindsey-link... ). What's going on?

As far as I know, epileptic people are not nervous because of their illness, but there is a action-reaction-connection between being nervous and epilepsy-attacks, especially during relaxationperiods after stressful times.

but I'm not a medic (be glad!)

Thumbs down

I want to reinforce Johnny Stew's comments about keeping personal arguments and/or snide remarks about another Ledgie off the Ledge.
Thanks,
Barbara

I watched some clips from Burnish.net (btw, thanks to the people posting it!) and the head-twitching, thát's epilepsy. I've exactly the same thing, it's weird to see someone else do that, actually!
It can be slightly annoying, but you can compare it to shivering with cold. Nothing painful or dramatic. (as long as it doesn't develop into a real seizure, of course)

But the other stuff... pffff, he's just neurotic

Allthough, there are anti-epileptics that actually make you feel nervous, aggresive, agitated. But it's difficult to say, thÃ*s is an effect of the medication, thát isn't. Doesn't work that way.

Pretty much. I don't think he'd be a perfectionist and/or a workoholic otherwise. Keeps him busy. Keeps him out of trouble Of course he does, amazingly, seem less tense then ever. I'd say his shrink is making a dent in the mystique But, again, it's Lindsey and we love him.
